Error with one of Hud Status Bars scripts.

Good afternoon/morning,

I seem to be having some script errors with HSB. This is extremely recent, and on a brand new save that I have less than 2 hours on.

The errors started when I entered combat in Fort Variela, I'm inclinced to believe this has something to do with "Mages Guild Quests" because I've have many problems with trying to get this mod to play nice with my load order. This error doesn't crash my game, but it is still concerning. This error appears multiple times in my log, and it is the only one.

The error in question:

" An expression failed to evaluate to a valid result
File: HUD Status Bars.esp Offset: 0x8D81 Command: <unknown>
Error in script 8f000957
Attempting to call a function on a NULL reference or base object
File: HUD Status Bars.esp Offset: 0x8D81 Command: <unknown>"

I can't find any script with that ID in the CS, unless I'm doing something wrong here. If you'd need my load order, I've provided it in a pastebin below (Oblivifall is currently not enabled.):

Thank you for your time, have a good day.

Disable the HSB esp, load and save your game, enable HSB.

These errors happens when you alter your mod list and the esp position changed.

It means Oblivion is not able to correctly reload the mod's data from the savegame, because it can't find the mod anymore in the previous location, and wrongly assign it the data which belong to another mod, and that other mod may have received a third mod's data and so on, in a deadly chain which corrupt the entire savegame.

It's the reason you should start a new game when changing the load order.

If you nerd to create different configurations for separate savegames, you can use mod managers, like Mod Organizer.

I recall you mentioning something about that a few months ago, I used the method you suggested when moving around esps.

Go to the testing hall, save, exit, disable the esp's you want to move, reload the save, save again, repeat the previous two steps, then enable the esps.

I'll try disabling the esp to see how it goes.

Same issue, I'll try this with a new save, and see if it is still present, it only seems to appear during combat.

Did you find out what caused this error message to happen in console for HSBE? I would like to know as I have the same problem.

In testinghall I get the message:

  Quote

Error in script 2d0009b8

Attempting to call a function on a NULL reference or base object
File: HUD Status Bars.esp Offset: 0xA3F9 Command: <unknown>"

Error in script 2d0009b8

An expression failed to evaluate to a valid result
File: HUD Status Bars.esp Offset: 0xA3F9 Command: <unknown>

It is only when I de-activate HUD statusbar.esp that I get a normal message where console will show what esp/scripts that have been initialized as in last screen shot taken in game world. Disabling Batched Patch in WB doesn't help. I use BOSS for LO and game did run without those error messages in console for a long time with this setup of mods. It started first happen when after changed some fields in my HSB ini file to have the new QuickFunction and half-optimization included to improve my framerate somewhat. Not sure when this happened, but I know that at some stage it did start to show this message in console as I almost only use console to save my save games.

My wild guess is that:

A) I have mixed up which fields need to be a string or contain only numerical value

B) there might be something in how script work within HSBE that is only being used when certain conditions are meet which trigger this error to show in console. This could be related to how popups, blink fields and those combinations of fields which add new features are rather complex both what they can do and what kind of strings or values they make use to work. Until I started to change ini file to make use of half-optimizations and those new features like QF I didn't see any error messages when I used console for creating my save games.

Is there some way to check what this script 2d0009b8 is supposed to do or if I have didn't understand in reading documentation for what I need for a fields to get rid of this error message?
