SkyrimFan0
How do you enchant an item to reduce magicka cost by 25% for a specific school of magic? Also is this build appropriate for a warrior/spell caster? http://skyrimcalculator.com/#36301 That build will be complete by level 49 so my remaining perks can be invested in the warrior skills. TimF
Disenchant any piece of apparel with cost reduction enchantment, and then enchant the desired piece with 100 enchantment, 5/5 enchanter, Insightful enchanter, Great-sized soul gem. SkyrimFan0
So alchemy is not needed at all to achieve 25%??
Karmine
You want to increase your damage with all 3 destruction elements but you do not want cheaper higher level destruction magic ? Ice Spikes, Firebolt and Lighting Bolt are going to be pretty expensive in magicka.
TimF
You want to increase your damage with all 3 destruction elements but you do not want cheaper higher level destruction magic ? Ice Spikes, Firebolt and Lighting Bolt are going to be pretty expensive in magicka. He is correct. If he wants to reduce their cost to 0 with enchants, this is nothing but a waste of perks. So alchemy is not needed at all to achieve 25%?? Nope. Alchemy will only increase that to 29% with maximum use of enchantment-alchemy exploit. Also, Intense flames is counterproductive; you'd want to focus on a single element in destruction at least initially - my choice is the lighting: for their perfect precision, the fact that almost noone resists them and useful disintegrate perk; the far left branch of conjuration tree is rather useless and can safely be omitted. The same with alchemy perks above benefactor. The other choice you need to make is of the armor: light/heavy or magic. P.s. The magic doesn't keep up with weapons on higher levels, so you might want to use mods. Edited December 28, 2011 by TimF
