IsaiahTheKoala
Hello folks, for about 3 years now (since I watched my 1st alchestbreach vid) Ive been wanting to get around to modding NV. Theres so many cool mods and I finally decided to try it out. Now, it took me a while to get Fallout 4 mods to work, but I'm pretty stuck right now.I downloaded about 15 mods to try, and I checked them in the nexus before I launched new vegas' launcher. None of the mods were in game, so I decided to try what I do for Fallout 4; I open the launcher, then check the boxes next to all the mods, and play. But that didn't work either You can see in the screencaps that theyre not in the data files where they should be, because I believe thats how NV reads that they are in game. Someone please help, I went looking for all the mods I have wanted for years, even "The most dangerous game" mod being in the first alchestbreach vid I saw many years ago, but now they dont work :/
dubiousintent
What are you using as your "mod manager"? The implication I get is NMM, but your description of what you are doing is not clear. (No program title in the screen capture.) Mods come packaged in archives (7Zip=".7z", WinRAR=".rar", etc.). They have to be unpacked before they can be used by the game. Some mod managers may take care of that for you, others won't. My guess (from the screen shot) is that you have the plugins "installed" but not "activated". How that is done depends upon the mod manager. So, in order to help we need more specific details to direct you to the manual or tutorial videos for that manager. Suggest you read the wiki article "FNV General Mod Use Advice" on how to get started with this game as compared to others (like Fallout4). It covers what you need to get started and has links to the essential tools you need, like the various mod managers and archive tools. -Dubious- Edited November 25, 2016 by dubiousintent

dubiousintent
I've recently added links to manuals and tutorial videos on all the mod managers to the wiki article I linked above. As your mod manager is central to your modded game experience, it's well worth your time to get familiar with it's features. -Dubious-
