A standalone version of this retexture.

blacksam released this retexture three years ago. By making clever use of the Amidianborn Bonemold textures and the Dragonknight armor he literally made a Dunmerized version of the Dragonknight armor we all know and love made by hothtrooper44.

However, being a retexture for regular bonemold armor, all Redoran Guard and Reavers in Solthsteim use this retexture as if it was something completely normal, which i personally feel is kind of unrealistic for being an armor that has high quality materials like ebony in it. When asked about a standalone version of this mod blacksam replied, and i quote:

"I would love to make a standalone version, I haven't the faintest idea how though. I am not looking for downloads or endorsements or anything, so if anyone who wants to and knows how to do it, can feel free to make it themselves just give credit and all that... Although something I thought about doing for myself, but haven't gotten around to doing because I have been busy and am going through a Skyrim "remodding" was simply finding a bonemold standalone retexture mod that uses the vanilla meshes and then simply replacing those textures with mine. Might work I cant upload that though, I did ask another modder for help making standalone but haven't heard back and have been busy myself. Either way maybe that might work for you it should be pretty simple."

As i know nothing about modding, let alone making standalone armors. I come here to ask for a kind soul who would be willing to take this task upon himself and make the standalone version.
Your efforts will be appreciated.

The retexture modifies Bonemold Armor, Bonemold Guard Armor, Bonemold Pauldron Armor, Bonemold Boots, Bonemold Gauntlets, Bonemold Helmet and Bonemold Shield. The idea is to make the retexture a standalone armor so it doesn't modify any other texture in the game.
I dont know much about .nifs, but i hope that helped.

Hmm... so to clarify, all of the vanilla bonemold models are the only affected models. NOT any of the amidian born stuff? If thats the case then yes i will forward you the changes in a postable .esp. if not i will still send it to you but as far as i know that one cant be posted

As far as i know, amidianborn models also affect vanilla bonemold, same goes with blacksam's dragonknight bonemold.

The idea is to add a standalone bonemold armor with the dragonknight bonemold textures so we can kind of use it as a higher level tier for bonemold type armors, also because every redoran guard and reaver in solthsteim use it.

I sent/posted a message to blackasm on the mod page to clarify partly because i want to get the right armor models the first time. Regardless of the model it can be done as i suspect that their both replacers and as such SHOULD use the same texture files as vanilla. So I will keep updating this as i learn more

Ok, so ive done the final tests and from what i can see on my side the standalone process working with the pure VANILLA models. Im packing it up now and i dod do a few minor tweaks and changes to it (one of the more noticable ones is I changed Bonemold to dragonmold for this set and kt does recognize them in the console for item adds) but do you want it in loose files or in a .bsa archive?

makes no difference to me, whichever is fine.
