I just started a game a couple of days ago. I looked up which women there are to marry in the game. I think Muiri is a good candidate for marriage, but I read that she is "a contact for the Dark Brotherhood questline" (source: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Muiri - first paragraph). Does that mean she is a contact for the Dark Brotherhood (or do I misunderstand that phrase I quoted?)? Does this mean she is a bad guy type of character? Or is it a grey area, and she is kind of bad and kind of not? Or is she a good character? I'd like to know because my character for my first playthrough is a good character, and I'd like to have a wife that aligns with that (like Ysolda or Sylgja).

I have 10 DB quests done already. I recall hearing the name Muiri, but I don't recall exactly what it was about. MARRY THE WENCH!

Let's just say if she was your real wife and you oh say treated her badly...... well I'd invest in some sort of protection.

So I take it she is bad, huh? o.o

Let's just say that you have a Dark Brotherhood business with her, which isn't lethal for her.

Yeah, sounds like she ain't good then. I don't actually know much about the Dark Brotherhood, but if you are involved with them, either you support them, or you don't last long, and she has been involved with the Dark Brotherhood for a while it seems, so yeah, she supports them (correct?) I have yet to get to Markarth, so I don't know much about her besides what I read on that Skyrim wiki.

You can't marry her before the DB quest anyway.

Right. She isn't available as a wife unless you are DB and something like 3-4 contracts into it - AND you have to complete two tasks on top of that. If you're playing a Good character, then you probably won't be joining DB.

But she is, imho, the best looking wife in the game.

I'd like to be a thief in a future playthrough, so maybe I'll do the DB questline as a thief and hook up with her in that play through. I agree, she is the best looking for wives. There are still some other good looking women you can marry, though.

I'm looking to marry one of these women in my first playthrough: Ysolda, Sylgja, and Mjoll the Lioness.

Yeah she seeks to have a Bandit killed who tricked her into falling in love with him just so he could steal money from a family of grieving nobles who recently lost one of there daughters which she was close to, this is all well and good and could even be considered justified. But then she goes a bit dark and wants you to kill the other daughter of the noble family, because they didn't believe she was not in on the robbery and shunned her.

So yeah the Las has some issues... Just don't forget to put the toilet seat down or she might preform another Black Sacrament. :whistling:
