The White Wolf of Lokken

I'm absolutely brand new at this, and just figured out how to extract simple folders correctly.

The White Wolf of Lokken (Mountain?) looks super sweet, and I want to be able to play through a mostly vanilla version of Morrowind to get to this quest. I have GOTY edition, so I don't even know at what point I'll actually be playing the Blood Moon part.

Can anyone tell me if I need to download any additional files to play this mod? Remember, I'm new... please talk slow and be nice :/

(I don't want to play immediately, I want to download, forget, and find later)

****and if this is the wrong spot in Forum I'm sorry and please tell me the correct place to go****

There should be a readme included with that mod, and it's always, always a good idea to read those. Not only do they include the requirements for that particular mod, they usually tell you if there are any conflicts with other mods, how to uninstall, specific and unusual points to keep in mind, etc.

I'll tell you in advance, though, this one only needs Bloodmoon and Tribunal. ;)

Okay, great! Thank you very much :) I've been looking at all read me things, but I wanted to know before I downloaded. I really, really appreciate it.

Not a problem. And check out Emma's other mods, especially Constance. She's a wonderful companion, with plenty of character!

You must be a mind reader, I just came back on to find a companion because I've gotten bored making the animals do weird things. I'm definitely going to try Constance out, right now!

I'm not having much luck finding anything simple for riding horses/creatures, do you have any suggestions for that, or is that something I should wait on until I've become more familiar with applying mods?

The only horse-riding mod that I'm aware of is Pegasus Horse Ranch. I've never used it, but a friend who has really enjoys it. :)

By the way, have you added in the Morrowind Code Patch and the Morrowind Patch Project? Both deal with hundrds of bugs Bethsoft never got rid of, as well as adding a few options useful to players. They're musts, as far as I 'm concerned.

As for other mods: if you've played for a few hours and decided you really wanted something in the game that isn't there, I can't think of any harm in looking for mods. If you want enhanced dialog and small quests, I strongly suggest the Less Generic NPC Project, which really enhances a number of areas in the game. There are also tons of texture mods that make the game more visually appealing. :)

That's the only horse one I could find too. I saw a reference to "If Wishes Were Horses" but didn't find a link anywhere, so figured it wouldn't be worth looking into as of right now. I really wanted to try out the PHR, but either I'm using the wrong program (ADl Soft Uncompressor), doing it wrong (extremely likely) or this computer just can't handle it. (Equally likely since I'm unable to play Oblivion on this computer.[i think])

No! I haven't downloaded those and will do so as soon as I post this. I wrongly assumed that since this was GOTY, I shouldn't download those. Maybe now I will stop being stuck in walls and falling beneath the earth ha :)

Being able to ride horses and harvest plants when I first tried Oblivion was what got me into RPG and most especially BethSoft, but thanks to finding this site, there are a ton of other awesome things I can find to do instead. (plus, I memorized the simplest of the console commands, and I am okay with "cheating" a bit.)

Thank you again for your help and advice, you've saved me a bunch of future headaches for sure!

* I see I shouldn't download the first as I have the Impulse version. Does this apply to the second one as well, or is this an alternative?*

**I apologize, I see now.

Google is your friend. That said, if you read the comments section, you'll see it's very buggy. I wouldn't try this out myself, though of course it's up to you.

You've got a good mod to auto-harvest plant ingredients?

Glad to help out. It's a pleasure to see somebody enjoy such a fine game, and all the efforts that modders have placed into it. :)

Ah, I feel very silly now, I looked there,(PES) but must have entered the name wrong or something when searching. I think I will wait until I'm done playing around with these other mods before I try either. ( I didn't mean to say IWWH wasn't a good mod or anything, just know I'm not prepared to try it at this point )

Nope, no harvesting mods, mostly just graphics and quests enhancers at the moment, Now that I know they exist though, I'm sure that will be where I concentrate my efforts next ;)

I can hardly imagine the amount of work that everyone has put into their projects, and am very grateful people are willing to share their hard work!
