How to set wood cutting and mining properties.

Does anyone know how to set the properties of a Woodcutter's Axe and a Mining Pickaxe onto another weapon. I'm trying to make it so The Woodsman's Friend isn't just a uniquely named battle axe, but would also let you chop firewood or mine ores.

 

You could just replace the model of the Woodcutter's Axe to the model of the battleaxe, but I'm pretty sure you'd need the CS for that.

A pickaxe is actually classified as a Iron Waraxe and can be equipped in either hand.

However, when interacting with an ore vein, it is a scripted event that plays an animation if you have a pickaxe in your inventory, there is no property on the pickaxe itself that does the mining. Same deal for the woodcutter axe.

The Midas magic mod has a spell called "Bound Pickaxe" that let's you summon a bound weapon that essentially acts as if you had a pickaxe in your inventory. The mining script still plays as usual (with the standard woodcutter's axe model).

 

Anyone know how the spell was made?
