Reworked Vampirism

Hi Guys,

 

This is my first post in this Forum, and it is the reason I signed up here. I want to make a Vampire mod request, but I got a pretty precise Image in my Head, so i hope its not too challenging to work it out.

 

As many Players, I am unsatisfied with the current Vampire Form. When my charackter first turned into a Vampire, I soon noticed that Vampirism really feels more like a disease and isn't really much of an advantage for the Player. It's just exhausting completing quests, which are requirering long travel distances and feeding regularly at the same time, avoiding that people hunt you down like an Animal. It's always a bit of time pressure. The Life Draining Spell is way too weak for proper use... and i dont like starting at Stage 1 of Vampirism after feeding. I just want more Benefit for being a Vampire, but I neither want it to feel like it's the only way to go. So there will be some nerfs too.

 

NOTE: The kind of Vampire that i want to create, is based on the Tabletop game Vampire - The Masquerade.

 

Changes I would like to see (every change should be a seperate .esp file so every Player can choose the things he/she likes):

 

Buffs:

 

- Vampiric Drain - Absorbed Life will be increased from 2/3/4/5 to 4/6/8/10. Also casting this spell will neither have reduced mana costs from 5/8/12/15 to 4/6/8/10 mana per second, or at least will improving your Destruction skill. (Altough I'd say Vampirism is beneficial for rogue-like playstyles and shouldn't forcing players to build up in Destruction)

 

- Vampire's Seduction - Will make an enemy Person an ally with the caster instead of pacifying him/her. Will be aviable at Vampirism Stage 1. At Vampirism Stage 4, the effect will be permanent, so it would be like 60s/90s/120s/perm. (If that is not possible, the duration will be 90s/120s/150s/180s)

 

- Vampire's Sight - Should be a toggled Skill, nothing new here, there are already Addons for that. ;)

 

- New passive effect: Vampiric Strength: "The Vampires Melee and Unarmed Damage is increased by 5/6/7/8" - Vampires are much stronger than Humans. :armscrossed:

 

- New passive effect: Resist Damage: "Your Vampiric Body gives you 10/15/20/25 Resistance to Physical Damage" - Vampires are much more durable than Humans. :wallbash:

 

Nerfs:

 

- Vampire's Servant: - Let's cut it short, Vampires aren't Necromancers, that's why I want to change Vampire's Seduction. Remove it. :down:

 

- Resist Cold: I just dont see the reason, why this should be a Vampire passive. Remove it. :down:

 

- Resist Disease and Poison: Poison resist reduced from 100% to 25%. Vampires still got Blood in their Organism, which is vital for their survival. Poison should still affecting them.

 

Mechanic Changes:

 

- Vampires will count as Undead - Silver Swords, Repel Undead etc. will work against them, Illusion Spells however will not. :pirate:

 

- Sunlight causes Fire Damage per second, Stamina and Magicka will not regenerate 8) . Health regeneration will be normal. (Maybe it's possible that the fire damage is based on charackter level and is about 25% lower than health regeneration. That would result in no health regeneration when the Weakness to Fire debuff is on 25% and a slightly health loss when higher)

 

- Vampires will not attack you anymore. :whistling:

 

- Vampirism Stage 4 won't cause People to flee/attack you. :wallbash:

 

OPTIONAL:

- Feeding will set Vampirism one Stage higher instead of set it back to Stage 1. However, not feeding within 8 hours will result in setting you one Stage lower. The Weakness to Fire Passive will decrease in higher Vampirism Stages like 100/75/50/25 - The Idea is that you feeding up in town, before u travel to do Quests, and then have that Vampire Buff decreased step by step... this should remove the time pressure of getting back to Town fast for feeding before its too late. You will however need to drink Blood more frequently.

(This will be quite challenging to mod, if it is possible at all, but I guess this can be done) :psyduck:

 

If that is not possible:

 

- Feeding will lower the Stage of Vampirism by one instead of setting it back to Stage 1.

 

I know that some changes I posted here are already published, but not in that specific way I want them, not in a proper way and in most cases there were changes I like and a few i didn't liked but it was always just aviable in one pack. Its important for me that the modded Stuff looks like its part of the original game, for example, that the new passives are listed as buffs in "Active Effects". I dont want to type some console parameters in and and maybe ruining my game. I want nice and clean mods, single selectable options and so on. It would be very nice if someone would PM me, or simply reply to this post if its something you want to work on. And if it's not, please tell me how I create some of those mods.

In Fact I'm running Skyrim with exactly this Mod right now, because it's really the closest to my Idea :biggrin: .

 

What i really do like most is, that you boosted speed an jump height, and improved the Vampiric Drain. It's more like a benefit to be a Vampire, and it instantly gives you the feeling to be something supernatural. I also like the Idea of the sundamage increasing (altough i must admit i didnt noticed it in Game).

 

However, im pretty certain about my Ideas. The Vampires Seduction should be like the Bosmer "Command Animal" but for People. It would make more sense anyway. Also the nerfs like in "Resist Disease and Poison" and the "Resist Frost" should be in the mod I'm looking for.

 

I'm sure you can do that too. It should be easy to modify the poison resist value, and simply erasing the "Resist Frost" Buff, or change it into the Damage Reduction buff I was talking about in my Thread. Maybe you could take the "Command Animal" Spell, change it a little bit and replace the "Vampire's Seduction" with that. Simply removing the Necromancing Spell would also do the Job. The most important thing is, to delete the hostility at Stage 4... but I've got no idea how to do that. I could relinguish of everythin else but its just annoying being hunted for beeing a Vampire.

 

Or maybe you can show me how to mod this values, because i looked for a long time now, still i cant find anything useful in the Forums to mod by myself. Im from Germany myself maybe you can PM me, and we discuss it there.

PS: I noticed that "Vampiric Drain" description is buggy, and the Mana Costs are different than in the description text.

hi i pm ed u. perhaps we can work together a bit. the last notice wiith mana drain is because its a destructen spell and it benefits from reduced costs. im a caster in game a its instaed of 15 magicka only 9. perhaps a little higher? dont know what non magic char do then
