xzanderain
I feel the divide has a lot of untouched area that could use some sprucing up. My idea is that the community put together a town in the bottom of the divide that can have various quests and storyline as to how they survived. Such ideas include creating a new faction, based off the people who were left behind when the divide was blown up. They could be the last hold outs of the united states citizens. You could create various quests based on the idea of removing radioactive materials from their town and searching for research materials on farming . This is to make them prepared for breaking ground in the divide so they can live on the surface. Other ideas for quests would be them fighting the remnants of the ncr and legion troop raids. While other issues would be quests to set up defenses against the tunnelars. another idea is to have quests where the player has to set up new outposts for them within the divide. Then have the player build up the out posts as well. Thus giving the divide more towns to work with. Maybe create quests for creating supply caravans that will go from the divide to the outposts as well as reaching out to the mohave to locations like the east side or 188 pass and or novac and primm. Maybe even a build a rest stop in the divide as well. I really feel this dlc gets no real attention as a potential area to build quests. Same with the other dlc's as most the quests modders do tend to be all focused in the main world space. Its highly disappointing as it clutters the main world up. While everything in the dlc's tend to be untouched.
GuymanBot
That would actually be really cool. I feel a mod like that can get the message of how; even in places as deadly as The Divide, hope can be found. It would also be interesting to see how remnants from the old Divide would react to seeing the person responsible for bombing their home coming back to make things right. I would imagine a mod like that being similar to the game "This War of Mine". I support that idea, and hope someone might pick it up.

So If you were a good guy and with the ncr you could possibly be a person who delivered the detonation codes with out knowing it to a spy or something. Or if you are a evil player and with the legion you could be the one who delivered the code to the guy who was going to blow up the entire place. on the other hand if you were neutral and with other minor factions you could be the guy who was just paid to deliver the codes. Thus giving the player multiple options for how the city may respond to you showing up.
devinpatterson
Yeah, had an idea for this a while back that is pretty similar, check for it under the keywords lonesome road expanded. It also tied into the idea of the courier balancing the scales (since s/he brought the devastation upon the divide's settlement, unwittingly, before the events of NV). Some argued that a settlement was impossible in the divide, but with a little ingenuity and creativity I think its very do-able. For instance a fungus crop in an installation for food. When I get more time I'll link to the thread, and I could use ideas for further LR expansion as I'd like to get back to the DLC (and post game) expansions. Just been struggling with free time in RL, some hardware issues etc.
