sufferot
Okay, it's strange request. I'm searching for people, that can port this mod to FNV for making a storyline with that race. The "beta-version" of storyline: Somewhere in Mojave was placed a shelter, marked 4. There was only 20 humans, and a couple of wolves. Courier finds that shelter and sees the interesting picture: fur-coated humanoids walking there... Please, don't throw a tomatoes at me. Sorry for bad lang, my native is russian Edited December 31, 2011 by sufferot
Jeoshua
TOMATO'D! Now, I don't dislike furrys, don't get me wrong, but they just don't fit into Fallout as easily as they would into a fantasy universe already populated by lizard- and cat-people. There are a few "furries" around tho, so you might find someone who is willing to port it.
greenknightfury
Considering the humanoid evolution path that animals are taking because of viruses and radiation in the Fallout universe why are furries such a stretch? Lake/Mirelurks, Deathclaws (which include in lore a intellegent variety of them) Supermutants and centuars if you head from human to odd creature. With all the experiments with mutation and genetic engineering that the government of FO was doing groups of human/animal hybrid like creatures wouldn't be suprising...a universe where the formentioned critters and nightstalkers are possible something like furries isn't suprising at all. Jeoshua
They're a stretch because humanoid animals are so very much not 1950's retro science, and have almost nothing to do with radiation and mutation... possibly if you put the brain of a human into a dog or something, they would talk... but that's not really so much a "Furry" but rather a talking dog... Sort of different, you see? Just because there are talking Deathclaws does not make them furries either... or "scalies" or whatever. They weren't anthropomorphic Deathclaws, they were just SMART deathclaws... well one of them was smart, and the rest were retarted but could talk anyways. Moral of the story:Talking animals are not Furries.
greenknightfury
Wow humanoid animals aren't 50's scifi....the Fly, Wasp Women, I was a teenage werewolf, Creature from the Black Lagoon (you might recognize the inspiration of the Lakelurks/Mirelurk Kings there), "It", "Attack of the Slime People", "Alligator People", "Cat Women of the Moon", "Island of Dr. Moreau"...heck type 'Attack of the ____ people into a search engine and you will most likely find a 50's scifi horror movie sometimes men or women/woman replaces people. Hybridized human/animals and things that were animals made anthropomorphic is classic sci fi and was a staple of fiction and scientific speculation until science said it was impossible to create hybrids of differing types of creatures...and now that genetic experimentation in the real world has created hybrid creatures the idea of things like that comes around to being plausible again.
