jjk999
Steam currently downloading huge files, 2 gigs already and currently downloading 2gigs more. But I searched Bethesda and Nexus forums and didn't see info on it. There are posts about people all of a sudden not being able to find their exe or being able to play. I can't find info about an update. Does anyone know why steam is downloading such huge files?
Mrsinclair
Hey 0oI had this huge file too, yesterday, I have no idea what it is :/ I thought my steam was bugged, and that it re-dowloaded a dlc or something
ken503
My installation has been doing that for months, and I haven't gotten a resolution from Steam tech support concerning it either. Except for around 2gb of data, it re-downloads the game in its entirety. I've completely removed Fallout NV and all mods and verified the local cache, removed the .blob file, and removed/reinstalled the Steam client to no avail. It seems to be tied to when my computer comes back from being in hibernation, though of that I'm not sure. It stopped for a while by going into the Steam library and disabling automatic updates for New Vegas but then that caused other issues for me. For instance today, when I woke my machine back up and fired up NV, it crashed immediately. Upon investigation, the FalloutNV.ESM file was completely gone from the FalloutNV\Data directory. So, turned automatic updates back on, and it's in the process of re-downloading the whole ESM file again. If anyone finds a resolution, I'd be happy to hear about it. :) K
