LarryThiel Posted December 31, 2011 Share Posted December 31, 2011 im not sure if this is the right spot for this topic but i could really use some help. for some reason i cant log into the skyrim nexus. i continually get the message ill post after this. i have no problem logging into any other nexus sites like oblivion nexus, new vegas nexus etc...i use firefox, i have it set to accept cookies. ive checked all my windows 7 ultimate settings and it should be fine. its the only site ive ever had a problem, with. any ideas? heres the message i get when logging in Cookie issue You are seeing this page because there was a problem with your login cookie on this site. Recent tightening in security on this site has meant that some of you will see this page. This problem can normally be fixed by just logging in again. If that doesn't fix the issue... Are your browser's security settings too high? This site must be allowed to make a cookie on your computer in order to log you in and keep you logged in. Cookies are a safe, normal operation of the internet that almost every site on the internet makes use of. If your browser's setting are too high then it can block cookies being made and you'll either need to lower your settings or allow this site to use cookies. Does your firewall or anti-virus program block cookies? Some firewall and anti-virus software tries to block new cookies being made. If this happens you can't log in to the site and you'll need to find the settings in your software to allow this site, or reduce the security settings on your software. LarryThiel Posted December 31, 2011 Author Share Posted December 31, 2011 UPDATE--- i dl'd and installed google chrome and logged in with no problems. any ideas why im having a problem with firefox? like i said i have cookies enabled and have no problems with the other nexus sites. it wont kill me to have firefox and keep chrome just for skyrim nexus but id prefer to just have firefox Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Promethee Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 Hello, I have the same kind of problem, I can't log on the nexus sites, except on the forum. On Skyrim nexus, I get the cookie page quoted above, on the others, just a /cookie.php blank page with "File does not exist" on the top. I check the cookies in firefox, and there's been installed. Maylos Posted January 24, 2012 Share Posted January 24, 2012 I would also love to know some way to fix this. -_- Having the same problem with this but with Google Chrome (someone apparently got around this problem using Chrome but it obviously didn't help me)I've been trying for days to fix this!!
