musashi22
Hey there, First Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and hopefully you can help me out. Heres the problem I have a ton of mods for Oblivion already that Ive put in my data file and there format is "esp" and they work just fine. Then I just enable them and they work fine and everything, but! Ive downloaded a ton of mods off this awesome website and whenever I go to view them, there extentions usually end in: .7z and .rar. (about half and half) Is there anyway to change these to .esp so I can enable them? I really appriciate it thats the only problem that im having. Once again my email is [email protected] Maybe im just missing something that I need to run these? Thanks again Sean L. Oh also I dont have any of the mod managing programs Ive been hearing about or anything like OOBM or w/e the abbriviation was.. Thanks If you have msn or aol and can just help me quicker that way my email is [email protected] AIM is smlkurby o_O
Warmstar219
.7z, .RAR, and .zip are compressed archives. You need a program like WinRAR (free) to unzip these archives and extract the included .esp files.

ResidentWeevil2077
No, 7Z and RAR are like ZIP, just different compression methods. You need WinRAR or 7-Zip to open these files, either works fine. IZArc is another archive utility, and I prefer it because it is free, and it can open a large number of different archive types, including the ACE archive type (I know there are a few of these around here).
