[LE] Enabling and Disabling animations question.

So I am working on a house mod, nothing fancy really. In the Black smithing section of the home I made a dwarven like smithy with gears, fans, pipes, steam ect. I am trying to get the animated dwarven items to start their sounds/animations when the player uses the smithy, and stop again once the player is done using it. Nothing I seem to do is allowing this, as they are always playing the sounds and animations.

 

My question is: How do I get the animations and sounds to activate then deactivate through the use of the smithy?

 

The parenting methods i have tried have yielded zero results, and while being still new to modding I am unsure what type of scripts would accomplish this.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for your time.
