yarddogg77
Hello. I'm a mod user trying to learn some things. I would like to make an esp strictly for personal use for my game only. I have several texture replacer mods that I would like to merge mostly for armor and weapons into one esp so that I can quit fiddling with things so much and get to playing. I have the Skyrim Creation kit and I use NMM. I have created my own esp and duplicated all my favorite vanilla armors in the game into heavy and or light variants, craftable and distributable. I am only trying to overwrite vanilla textures with nicer ones I've found in other mods. I've also managed to archive the dds files for one of the mods I was practicing on, and The textures did stay put in my esp after I removed the mod. I am making progress but there must be a more streamlined approach. I have searched the internet for days on end looking for a straight forward tutorial but they must be written by adhd lunatics because they almost always leave out vital information and the're s#*! doesn't work. If I have the mods installed and the dds files archived with skyrim creator, shouldn't I be able to make those settings stick in my esp so I can then remove those mods for a more streamlined installation file? That's all I'm trying to learn here. I'm not gonna upload it, I just want the textures to overwrite vanilla then I can do the rest, recipes, distribution, levelled, whatever... Can anyone explain how this is done?
yarddogg77
So if I go to my skyrim folder, click on archive execute and load the meshes and textures into it, which boxes should i tick to make sure the creation kit can categorize things correctly? Seems like CK doesn't recognize or display whats in my Skyrim folder the way it should. It's making things difficult.
