Can't even make it to the Bethesda screen anymore

I subscribed to a few mods today through the Steam workshop. However, when I went to start the game, it wouldn't launch... Not even to the Bethesda logo. I got the box for "play," "data files," etc. and it spent a bit verifying my mod subscriptions, but then when it was finished, I clicked on the play button and it just closed, the black "Preparing to launch..." box showed up and the whole thing started again (basically, I'm in a loop before I can even launch the game).

I unsubscribed from all of the mods and deleted their files (via the Data Files box), so now I'm on a vanilla game again. I also shut down/restarted my computer and uninstalled/reinstalled Skyrim, but nothing is working. I thought this was related to one of the mods I downloaded, but would it really still be affecting me, even after I uninstall all of my mods and Skyrim itself? What should I do? Has anybody else had this problem?

I'm on the original 2011 version, if that helps.

This is a quote from a post I found long ago on the proper way to uninstall Skyrim.

Try to uninstall skyrim that way:

First do a standard uninstall. (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features-> Uninstall The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)

Next, delete your skyrim folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\

Then delete your Skyrim directory under Documents/ My Games

Then under C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\ - Delete the Skyrim folder that is in it.

(You should enable to see the hidden files under windows to delete that folder.) HOW: (View - Options - Folder Options - View - Advanced Settings: Show hidden files, folders and drives)

Use Ccleaner after all this (http://www.filehippo...wnload_ccleaner), and install your game again, from scratch. !!!!

You don't need to uninstall Steam.

And don't load your old saves too. (delete them from your save folder). Start a "fresh" new character.
