Getting Fallout 3

I played Fallout 3 quite a bit for my PS3 (multiple characters up to levels 15-20), and I never really planned on getting it for my pc. I changed my mind after seeing that I could use mods to completely convert it to a zombie survival type game, with the 'all enemies are ghouls' mods and the 'zombie apocalypse' mod, plus many others. Is there anything I really need to know about Fallout 3 running on Windows 7?

Also, in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim I never bothered with a Mod Manager because I like knowing exactly which files I"m installing manually. The Readius mod is too awesome to pass up though, and it's only in a FOMOD version, so I finally have to bite the bullet and install the Fallout Mod Manager. As a result, I need to know how to use the Mod Manager. Which do you recommend installing first: the Mod Manager, the Script Extender, or Archive Invalidation Invalidated?

One last thing, since I don't have it quite yet: should a GTX 460 be able to max it easily?

Install FO3 outside of "C:\Program Files (x86)\" if you can so as not to have problems with Windows UAC and permissions. It does not really matter, but install FOSE then FOMM and use the AII toggle located in Tools in FOMM. Depending on your resolution, a 460 should be more than adequate.
