warcrafter
So I saw the overhaul for weapon crafting .http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2933Great stuff. I just think that he got it wrong with armor. I just thought that the armor should be again split into 4 section.-Chest-Left and right pauldrons, shoulder armor -Greaves This would enable far greater customization. For example having iron style steel chest armor mixed with dwemer pauldrons. And yes the colours would look weird. And this is where my next idea comes in. Crafting should be categorized to styles. So not having each section named iron, steel, ebony so on but having it renamed to e.g. Imperial Soldier,Orcish or Nordic. Then when a style has been chosen you can then select materials that you want the armor to be made of . I mean it would be great to have dwemer armor made of steel or orichalum. But there should be some restriction on what materials can be used . Properties of the metal should also be possible. By this I mean it would be possible to have a Elven Style armor made out of ebony or steel, or having Ebony armor made out of moonstone and quicksilver . Dwemer armor made out of leather would look far to weird. So hide and malleable metals should be kept apart. The reason why this mod would be awesome is because of the great customization. And my third minor point for hide and light armors made of leather or hide. Having different leather types so colours and properties are different . In Morrowind:Bloodmoon, ice wolf and snow bear armor had special properties of resistance to frost. Maybe that would imbalance the game and cause problems for enchanting (item already having a enchantment) but it would be great to make leather armor out for example ice wolf leather which would be far paler. Or using sabre cat leather that makes a more light brown armor. The colour of leather would not have a effect on leather strips. This would create problems for use in weapons. I think it would be asking to much to change the the colour on each handle to match the leather colour used. Please do point out if this was posted before or if there is a mod currently of the sorts being worked on.
