6GB

Not sure if this has already been requested or being worked on, and I don't know if it's even possible, but I was wondering if someone could have skyrim run with 6GB of memory, instead of 4? The reason being is that I want to try this texture pack, but for whatever reason, my computer is only using 1GB of memory, even with all other programs turned off. I have 8GB of total ram, and 1GB of graphics card, which I think is more than enough to be able to run this texture pack (Skyrim HD - 2K textures). If it isn't the total amount of GB that skyrim is using, then can someone please help on how to make this texture pack run?

Frankly, the best system would be a variable version, that detects your system's memory, and utilizes it to the fullest -1.5GB for Windows/other shi ...stuff running in the background.

A more 'intelligent' version, so to speak.

huh? Lol so you're saying get a system that utilizes my memory to the fullest? What system would that be?

Skyrim is an x32bit game and to exceed 4gigs of ram you will have to modify the launcher/game to a x64bit version.

It can be done but with Bthesda's track record of listing to people after the game has launched and not wanting to have "multiple" games I doubt an x64bit version of Skyrim will be released from Bethesda.

The modding community may have a harder time modifying the game to be an x64bit game...

In short for the time being Skyrim on PC is limited to 4gigs maximum.
