An Inquiry of Uploading

This will be addressed toward the moderators of the Nexus.

 

The subject in question is Nuska's mod for Skyrim, Ethereal Elven Overhaul.

 

Nuska has claimed that they are no longer uploading and maintaining mods, and that their assets are free to be distributed as per the terms of their permissions section, and a sticky post they left on their comments. Proof will be provided after my inquiry.

 

As per their terms, I am free to distribute the assets to the mod, i.e., any meshes, textures, .esp files etc. without their explicit permission.

 

So long as I do not directly distribute the mod file as it is under the name of that mod, would It not be acceptable to move these files over to a page with a different name, and the files repackaged under a new name as well, to a Skyrim Special Edition mod page?

 

According to all terms below, I see no issue with this. However I am not about to risk a moderator banning me from this site without providing evidence of my claim of legitimacy.

 

I would not only be distributing these assets, but the assets of a mod that includes patches and modifications for Nuska's assets made by Thordir, whom has given explicit permission to use their mod freely, without credit, to which I will provide evidence below.

 

I have plans to move these assets over within a 3 day span. Should I be banned for such, legal action will be pursued.

 

Permissions: (for Nuska)

• Other user's assets All the assets in this file belong to the author, or are from free-to-use modder's resources
• Upload permission You are not allowed to upload this file to other sites under any circumstances
• Conversion permission You are not allowed to convert this file to work on other games under any circumstances
• Modification permission You are allowed to modify my files and release bug fixes or improve on the features without permission from or credit to me
• Asset use permission You are allowed to use the assets in this file without permission or crediting me
• Asset use permission in mods/files that are being sold You are not allowed to use assets from this file in any mods/files that are being sold, for money, on Steam Workshop or other platforms
• Author notes Any asset use is OK, also applies to other mods I've made. Knock yourself out. Translations and patches are also OK and you can freely distribute them without needing permission from me separately.
• File credits Bethesda Softworks - Skyrim head meshes and texture assets
  Me - Normal maps, morph work, warpaints

• Author notes I hereby give permission to any member of the nexus community to edit and distribute this mod. I will not be continuing work on this file, and it i my wish that other, more talented, people improve on the already existing content that I provide.

Hey guys, I'm retired from releasing and maintaining mods, I don't respond to PMs or comments. Please don't repackage and upload my mods elsewhere, thanks! Derivative works and new stuff based on my old stuff is all fine. This is old and ugly.

-Check out CharGen Extension for a powerful EEO-compatible SKSE based face slider addon. I contributed the morph assets and it works for all nonbeast races!

-Thordir made patches for Dawnguard and Dragonborn available here. Note that the patch set is not under my control and any questions should go to the author.

-I have a blanket free use policy on my mod assets. If I made it, feel free to use it for whatever, you don't need to ask permission. Crediting is nice but not mandatory.

-I'm not updating any of my mods any longer.

-Feel free to make patches or modifications to this mod if you want to.
