HEX-Editing an .exe for Widescreen Resolution

It's about the old Game Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter. I used this Tutorial (

) and it works, however i want permanent changes by editing the .exe itself. Unfortunately, i can't find the Values in the Hex Editor and i think it has something to do with the "Array of Bytes" Filter. So How do i filter "Array of Bytes" in a Hex Editor so that i don't have to fiddle with resource hacker everytime i launch the game ?

Have you tried forcing it through regedit?

Or try to edit the config.INI with notepad++ if there is one. exe Is usually just a complier of sorts for a set of files
