Moksha8088
I went with staying on good terms with the Minute Men, the Brotherhood, and the Railroad. I discovered that there is a great deal of flexibility with the order suggested in the video and still being able to achieve the same results. My sense of justice was further enhanced by adding the wonderful mod The Danse Dilemma available here on the Nexus.
kevkiev
... [T]here is a great deal of flexibility with the order suggested in the video and still being able to achieve the same results. Pretty sure the video is based on a mod of the same name here on nexus. And, yeah, it's WAY more restrictive than necessary to get an ending where the BOS, MM and RR remain civil to each other. Not only the order in which you do quests, but it suggests skipping a lot of quests that don't need to be skipped. Here's a video that perhaps best shows what I mean

NVBlues
Is it even possible to have peace between the BoS, railroad, and minutemen? I heard there was a way without the use of mods.. Let me see if I can find it... You nailed it with the "but not speak to Captain Kells" - that's critical.

Let me see if I can find it... Here is a reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/42965r/comprehensive_guide_to_not_destroying_factions_in/Absolutely. Check out the vid I linked a couple posts up. Only thing is, once all the other RR sidequests are done, stay the hell away from PAM at RR HQ . Otherwise, "she" will likely send you on a radiant quest to wipe out a BOS patrol. The unofficial patch partly addresses this by taking away Drummer Boy's dialogue to go see PAM for a mission (replaces it with random "you have too many teeth to be a scavver" kinda dialogue, between DB's dialogue saying that Carrington wants to see you). That way, you can continue to do endless radiant quests for the Doc. (But, still, don't go to see PAM on your own, otherwise you'll get said BOS destructo quest.) Again, that's all after the LL Gang and other RR side quests are done.
dragonslayer2k12
So lets say I do the BoS ending even though I did all the railroad stuff and MM stuff and BoS stuff before going to the glowing sea, after the institute is dead what can happen if I go to railroad HQ or the castle? I remember there is this quest where ronnie shaw wants you to blow up the prydwen with 12 artillery cannons from different settlements does she try to spam you with that after the institute is dead? PoorlyAged
It's simple. If you do the BoS ending, you are required to kill everyone in the RR HQ and that is the end of it. The BoS no longer cares about the MM and vice versa.
dragonslayer2k12
Well I got this mod for tactical thinking that lets you talk down kells so the RR can stick around but I haven't been able to test it yet in my playthroughs since I just quit before I get to that point as the game gets boring and I go off to find another pile of mods to install and decide to get rid of yet another gimmick mod I installed earlier that doesn't actually work so I'm gonna get there someday lol. I've been too concerned about the companion endings if I don't max each one out before killing the institute so I spend all my time dealing with each of them and trying to figure out when to bust hancock out of his boring job as mayor either get him out last or earlier but it seems dumb the player who is the general and a knight in the BoS would want to rob some dinky little diamond city store room after building 30 something settlements and amassing a mountain of guns and armor at each settlement already. NVBlues
Ok so lets say you complete the game with the Minutemen and keep the peace with the BoS and Railroad.... can you THEN go back to the railroad and continue doing quests? Or you have to avoid them forever? When is the best time to do DLCs? Before you beat the game or after? i have heard some say its good to do the DLCs before the end of the game, some say after?
