Skrypto
What I really wanna see, is a weapon mod .....no wait.. maybe a mini overhaul... .. well ... I'll just describe it bluntly : The Death Note ( the notebook from the anime show) ☼You must speak with or have a conversation with someone in game to acquire their name(this will however draw suspicion towards yourself if the murder is witnessed in plain sight). Faces can be recorded by simply being within a certain proximity to someone.☼Can only be used to kill other humanoid creatures.☼Methods of killing is a pretty large topic, and is a whale of a discussion, or at least it has the potential to be.☼Decreases respect and increases infamy towards all 'good' based NPCs the more you use the notebook.☼When you aim it at someone, you can choose to either create a note of their name on a separate document ( if you have spoken to them before) , or choose to kill them however you want based on the rules of the Death Note. ☼Recorded names of people can be accessed via a secondary document where you can choose to kill them at any given time and so on and so forth.☼ You can choose to summon a "Shinigami" to follow you around as a companion.☼You can choose to "Deal" with your Shinigami, to acquire Shinigami eyes ( will replace current eyes when Death Note is equipped). You may now learn the names of your victims without talking to them, allowing you to easily avoid any suspicion related to witnessed murders. (Making the deal however will have negative effects on your character, for example, maybe it takes longer to level up, maybe it cuts your HP in half permanently, I do not know yet since it would be hard to replicate such a rule to the actual game) Well, tell me what you think. Could this one day be possible for an insanely skilled modder? Does anyone share an interest in this concept? I for one, can't mod worth pickles, so I am praying someone skilled takes interest in this XD. Anyways, I'm a big fan of the show, the writers and artists are truly incredible, that is why I I brought this up, just popped in my head this morning so I thought I'd share it. I do not know if this will fall under copyright infringement or cause issues with the creators of the show, but it can't hurt to just share ideas I guess. Feel free too add any ideas, opinion, comments, anything at all. Edited January 2, 2012 by Skrypto

If there is anyone out there capable of making this, i strongly suggest you do make it.
Tsixth
To make it fit into Skyrim, you could recreate the death note as a daedric artifact, maybe belonging to a prince like Boethiah or Clavicus Vile ( His character is quite similar to Ryuk). As for killing with it, I think you should have to talk to the person first to get their name and a clear look at their face. Unless you have the eyes. As I recall, the death note lets you control people before they died, so maybe there are a list of options to get your victim killed.Like they could just wander off and never come back.Go berserk and get killed by the guards.Suicide.Good old heart attack. Not sure how you could get caught though, it took the manga protagonists ( or antagonists?) quite a lot of trouble. Maybe the guards will get suspicious that everyone you talk to dies, and simply accuse you of witchcraft. If you've got good speechcraft you could try to convince them otherwise, but it will get harder and harder if you continue getting suspected. Eventually they'll just freak out and attack you from sheer paranoia. Edited January 2, 2012 by Tsixth

Skrypto
The methods of killing would probably have to be heavily coded and scripted for the desired effect. I don't expect to see anything too overly complex, but I think this could be possible. I was playing around today and noticed how people reacted to me when I had taken certain paths in my game, choosing certain factions and hearing the resulting attitude of the opposing side afterwards. This could be set up so that if one used the Notebook in that city/town, if they had gained a reasonable amount of suspicion, or didn't effectively cover their tracks, people would start either talking bad about you, running from you, or if you become discovered, possibly attacking you on sight. Overall, I noticed that if this was to eventually be created, it still would be lacking in terms of story/questing, it just wouldn't have the full effect in regards to those interested in a full blown overhaul. There would have to be either someone, or some group of individuals trying specifically to catch the person responsible for these mysterious killings. This however, would probably require a cast of volunteer voice actors for new npc's if an entire quest-line was introduced. A point counter could be designed and introduced, with positive, neutral, and negative values that determined your notoriety, reputation, responses and reactions to average villagers, guards, followers, enemies, and also the individuals tasked with trying to discover and capture you. A positive counter could mean you are not suspected of anything, and people show you praise instead of hate/fear. Neutral means you haven't killed anyone in that city/town. A negative counter means you are becoming sloppy in your methods of killing, and you are attracting the attention of those around you in a negative way. The higher the value in either reputation determines reactions etc etc. Well I don't want to get too carried away for nothing >.< This is a long shot request anyways so .........
