What's with Exnem's body?

Is it just me, or do the majority of fans prefer Exnems Female Body Replacer? I honestly don't understand why. Sure it looks good, but in my opinion it looks good in an unrealistic, Barbie-Dollish sort of way.

I have had Exnem's, Growlf's, Eshme's, the BAB body and now TFF Fantasy Figures.

I tend to go for realism and the majority of the mods that I use enhance my game towards that end, thus I prefer the TFF body + UFF Better Lower Body and as far as realistic female anatomy, I believe these two together achieve that end. Check it out and see what I mean.

I'm not writing this to bash other body replacers at all, I'm just curious about the communities seeming preference for Eye Candy. I realize that the majority of clothing, armor, companion, etc. mods are for Exnem's body and I have to admit it's a little dissapointing that you can't find as much stuff for TFF Fantasy Figures.

I'm looking for everyone's opinions on what body mod you use and why you prefer it. I apologize if this post may have offended your sensibilities so please don't reply just to try and put a foot in my a** just because you disagree with my opinion.

I use Exnem's because it's the one that has the most amount of muscle mass currently out of all the other body mods. Since I play a female warrior character, I want her to actually look like she has 100 strength, rather than the frail little stick figures that frolick along the countryside, giggling near campfires as they practice kissing other girls.

 

Maybe I got a little carried away, but I find the skinnier body mods more unrealistic, women have curves and Exnem's has a lot of them.

I find it more realistic, since i would have way more muscle if i had to work and/or fight for my Life every Day. Exnem adds some Muscle. It is, in my Opinion, a little bit to much, as medieval People werent very well fed. You just dont have enough Vitamins to grow this Kind of muscle in your normal medieval diet.

 

But then, we dont really know how the metabolism of tamlrielic Races works.

Only thing we know is that you get stronger when you do Things that require Strength. I have to assume that something that makes you stronger will get you to grow some Muscle...

Only reason I have exnem's is for the various armor mods for it. Personally I got tired of playing with male chars all the time, and in my opinion the default armors suck for female chars, so I just got exnem's and a few armor mods for it till I found the one I like most.

I think I totally agree with LeeHarvey. I play oblivion because of the realism, not to create manga-alike characters that have just run away from a japanese comic book. But the most and nicest armor and clothing textures are for exnems, and I don't like muscular women. Does anyone know mods that provide you with exnem's clothing/armor for normal bodies?

Speaking as a person of probably the opposite sex from all of the above, I think there are -two- reasons why male players use Exnem's. ;D We all know many guys like the look of anatomically rare and unlikely combinations in female anatomy, it's just not PC to admit it.

 

But then, as some may know, I've been affiliated with FF in some way since early in the alpha over a year ago. And Borisman, there are several conversions of Exnem's for FF as well as for BAB. The BAB main site is here:

Sorry, I don't know enough about Eshme's or Growlf's to be helpful as far as those two. Most people aren't converting things TO the default body, since few people like it. Robert's new female bodies are considered by many a good realistic alternative to the default, but there's not much if any armor/clothes for it yet. Here's the development thread:

Hey I will say, I wish they would more like Ewa Sonnet and some other models. As long as they look good in leather and Latex, I am happy... Yes, I might be one those player..

But really with all that said, I would give all that for most part to get smoother skin, better face the wow factor in graphics.....

I only use Vanilla body, because I prefer mods that improve gameplay to eyecandy.

Hence, I fall into the "don’t care" category. :smile:

it's all in how you play., if you're really into rp'ing the game you'll prolly want something more realistic. Me personally, I don't really get in depth in my rp'ing so EC works for me. If I'm going to have a female companion(I play male chars) I WANT her to look like a fantasy model or a "barbie" or something. I don't think I could get a real woman who looked like that (hope my girlfriend doen't see this!! haha) to follow me around in metallic armor and stab people for me all day, so I do it in game.

I award fatheadhill a kudos point for honesty. Vastly refreshing compared to the usual "No, I TOTALLY dated a girl who looked like that!" remarks.

 

...And it's not like those of us girls who use Robert's are doing it for character personality.
