*Searches around the room until he finds the troll magnet and shuts it off*

I

think having the ability to download every damn game ever made for the PC easily, easy installation of DLCs and patches, easy repairs on all my games files, and easy access to my very large games library with on click on my desktop outweigh the non existent issues received from auto updates and other unmentioned issues. Hell whenever I need to pop in a CD key for my really old games steam opens up a tiny pop up in the lower right corner giving me the key.

*Fires a warning shot at the trolls*

Ah! The 'troll' one again! You like it, I don't. That doesn't make me a troll, friend. Just saying. The point of this was; does anyone else too. Feel free to make your own post asking if anyone else loves it! *sigh*

See, someone else who understands. There was a time boys and girls, if you lost the jewel case or instruction booklet to your game, you either bought a new copy or prayed you copied the CD key and saved it somewhere else. I've got two copies of Diablo 2 because of this very reason.

I'll write mine down thanks. Later Steam.

Pirates are around, yes, they pirate stuff. People also buy that stuff. Penalizing legitimate buyers with chore isn't good though. I don't want to log on twice to a game I've paid for, when I want an update I'll update myself... just let me know one's available. Sue the Pirates, take it to the courts, blah blah... It's annoying to paying customers all this automated rubbish.

So basically your upset because Steam makes life easier? Good lord man, just admit you wanted to start a troll thread and we can all be on our way.

I can't get on the game because it's downloading something... how is that easier?! I could have put it on myself overnight... Granted I'm new to this but man, it's a gaming culture shock, and I'm not impressed.

Aaah, so the issue is, the game is updating but you want to play it now, correct? Well, how is that any different from playing the game while you download the patch then applying the patch? You'll have what, three, four minutes extra of gaming time? Really, three minutes, that's what you're upset about? Amazing. You don't have a job yet do you? Have to drive to work in traffic? Waiting is part of life, it's something you're going to have to learn to deal with.

Or..

You're upset because you have to download the game? Well, you don't. You can buy a hard copy of it and install it.

Sir, all your arguments are invalid. I have won this debate. Please see yourself out the door and I will bid you adieu.

I work. I walk I don't drive there. I have a hard copy of the game. And the wait is 6 hours. Sorry to rain on your parade, SIR. The door's this way! Follow me!

There is a difference between being forced to patch a game and choosing when you want to patch it. Steam doesn't let us choose and the only way to have a say in that matter is to keep it offline.

By the way when you've had a long day and spent some time stuck in traffic the last thing you want when you finally get home is not to be able to play the game (that worked perfectly fine the day before) because you have to wait for Steam to patch it.

Waiting may be a part of life but some of us wait enough irl to simply want a hassle free gaming experience that doesn't include getting locked out of the game we've been playing the night before... Especially when the extra hassle is caused by some piece of software that brings nothing to the game.

Your arguments are still invalid. Anything you say from here on out means nothing. NOTHING. You have been officially branded as a troll and will be treated as such.

Amen. That was a prayer right? :P
