Crafting workbench perks opinions wanted

Working on a clutter mod with several other authors that we'll be releasing soon. Some of the items included are full size versions of the crafting workbenches (armor, weapons, chem, cooking) that have themed clutter. There are also mini DIY shelf compatible versions. I know a lot of people dislike the Local Leader 2 perk requirements for the vanilla workbenches. So I'm considering a few options on how to handle this.

 

1. No perk requirements at all.

 

2. Local leader 1 instead of 2. You need 1 to establish settlement supply lines.

 

3. Alternative perk requirements such as gun nut 1 for armor workbench, medic for chemistry, armor 1 for armor workbench, etc.

 

4. Figure out how to edit it appropriate in xEdit and provide directions for that so users can modify it to their own preferences. I've attempted a simple edit/delete of the perk in the constructible object's record using xEdit but it doesn't cleanly remove the perk requirement, it leaves a null reference. I know how to change perks easily in CK but not xEdit.

 

If you care to share your preferences (or an alternate I didn't think of) or if you know how to do #4 and can give me brief directions that would be awesome. :)
