BlackCursor
Greetings all, I'm new to Fallout 3 modding (well, mod installation) and am trying to get the following to play nice together: Fallout 3 Wanderer’s Edition (FWE)Mart’s Mutant Mod (MMM)Fallout 3 Reanimated *Project Beauty (PB)NMC’s Texture Pack [PERFORMANCE or FULL] *Fallout Overhaul Kit (FOOK 2)FelloutEnergy Visuals Enhanced and Energy Weapons Advanced (EWE)Enhanced Weather * manual installs that don't use FOMM (see below) and/or don't use scripts (.esm, .esp). I also have the prerequisites installed: Fallout 3 Mod Manager (FOMM), Fallout Script Extender (FOSE), and ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! and my base game is the Game of the Year edition (GOTY) with all the downloadable content (DLC). When installing some of these (e.g. FWE, MMM, PB, EWE) with FOMM I noted that files are replaced, so it looks like installation order is significant--what is the recommended installation order (Add FOMod, Activate in FOMM ...) for the above? How do the updates/patches/hotfixes for each mod play in this? I've read about FOIP patches and mergers but am not sure where they fit in either. I think I also need FO3Edit to create a merger patch, and of course, I'd need a FOMM load order. I've downloaded many files and did a lot of reading, but most of what I've read seems out-of-date, conflicting, or otherwise confusing. As I work in the software development business (architect), if I had to make an analogy, my request is similar to story-boarding a master-build file/script ^_^. Any help is appreciated, thanks! Be seeing you... ---> TBC (tag Barter? Certainly!)
