diamondoptic
i get a glow like that around characters.. been driving me nuts as its pretty ugly looking and annoying and ive narrowed it down to when the character isnt standing in a shadow but there is a shadow behind their body (or parts of their body).. Like if the character themself is totally in a shadow, no glow.. if theyre totally in sunlight and no shadows around, no glow... heres some examples 1st one is just standing in the sun, no shadow behind the character and no glow: http://www.avamods.com/public/skyrim/glow/001.jpg 2nd one is standing totally in a shadow, again no glow: http://www.avamods.com/public/skyrim/glow/002.jpg 3rd one is standing in the sun, but with a shadow cast behind the character, you can see the glow around the player (upper right side in the picture mostly): http://www.avamods.com/public/skyrim/glow/003.jpg no idea why this happens, I just assume its the way the game is. Ive tried changing settings including disabling AA, FXAA and transparency AA (thinking maybe it was the result of the AA on the edges of the characters)... but none seem to change anything in regard to that glow appearing around the edges.. Ive mostly only *noticed* it happening with characters but have occasionally saw it happen with other objects Edited January 7, 2012 by diamondoptic
