Owltowel
Hello im really new to modding but i thought id give Mod Organizer a go. Ive got a loads of mods working with not issues what so every, though when it came to FNIS ive had some annoying trouble: Basically i followed Gopher's guide on the nexus page for FNIS, its seems pretty stright forward, but when I come to making the FNIS executable, I get that message about elevation "this process requires elevation to run ... potential security risk" ect. But i followed the steps sound, can think what the problem is, tryed again, tryed just pressing "ok" then got to that orange screen, but afterwards it gave me the same message about elevation. Please help, I cant find anything online about this for some reason? fore
This is the second time I ever heard about such problem. And I have about 2 Million users on Nexus. So this apparently is nothing that can be solved by following Gopher's video. Unfortunately. See the following link. It indicates that you have ownership problems with some of the files that are used. Either because of moving between different Windows versions, or caused by UAC. It is generally advised for all of your modding games and tools that you DO NOT istall anything under the default "C:\Program files(x86)". If you have than I would recommend that you dump your current install, and do everything (Skyrim, MO, FNIS, ...) in a different folder system. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/the-requested-operation-requires-elevation/4d45a50e-2e5d-49f7-950c-e6281057491f?auth=1 EDIT:Actually this isn't such a rare problem. But since it is more frequent to MO I haven't seen that before.
