Ignorance can be bliss

Being omnipotent must make things very tedious. If there is a creator who knows all and is in charge of our "reality", that being surely knows the importance of a little ignorance.

Yes, it is teadious. But that's also why such a being tends to spend so much of their effort just screwing around with their creations. Even when you know everything that is, was, and ever will be, you can still be entertained by an unexpected reaction.

Ok... In all seriousness, you're a bit right, I don't even play the game so much as either mod, or cheat my way through anymore. I'm actually holding out on some of the greater mod projects out there, like silgrad, for later. Although you may be able to have some idea about how things work, and be able to use console to fix bugs, you still have the content contained in such mods to keep you interested. Although I guess my situation is a bit different, I'm not looking for immersion or realism. If I wanted to experience a change of environment, I'm blessed with (semi-)working legs that can take me almost anywhere I need to go. If anything, I'd say Oblivion ends up allowing me to have a brief power trip without consequences. So although minor things like broken meshes, and game bugs are still of an inconveinance, they don't ruin much for me. I just don't go around downloading many mods, and tend to only stick with things made by reputable modders (or if I feel like peeking at the package before using).

Very nicely put. I can understand those who want immersion, but I too prefer just to have a fun time - sometimes a power trip. And I too keep my legs at least semi-funtional for the sole purpose of changing my scenery

And my mod list is less than 10 mods now, and if I add a new one I tend to remove one I have. Yes I know (at least some) of 'how to' in fixing bugs, but I admit not to being CS savvy; generally a mod reinstall works wonders provided your mod list is like mine - simple.
