[Guide] How to configure NMM to download Skyrim & SkyrimSE mods.

(if this has already been done, I don't care; still happy for figuring it out myself)

The dirty way:

• Copy your top level SkyrimSE files (probably just need the two EXE files) to a new folder called Skyrim.
• Get rid of the SE in the EXE files.
• NMM will now recognize Skyrim as being installed.
• Point all the folders to your existing SE folders.
• Launch NMM in Skyrim mode.
• Change the Settings / Skyrim section to point at the SE Directory.

The Symbolic Way:

• Make Symbolic links for all the folders (SkyrimSE > Skyrim)
• For bonus points, make Symbolic Links for the two exe files (so that NMM can launch Skyrim.

Now, when you download with NMM at either site, a replica NMM will pop up and both will be synced.

Please note, no evidence, but it is probably safer to leave the Skyrim mode for downloading only.

Right click where you want it (same folder normally) >Drop As> Symbolic Link
