MrMiggins
Playing the game. Gold adds up fast no matter what you do. It's a good idea to get some of the Speechcraft perks.
surg23
As with all elder scrolls games, Alchemy is the best and easiest way to make money. I just brewed my first potions and sold them for almost 100 gold each with 19 speech/ no perks. best part is it cost me nothing to make.

Hosam
I have to admit when I first played the game I just used the console command. I did not want to miss out on content just because I did not have enough cash. That being said, I found that making money in subsequent playthroughs is not that hard. Lately I have been using Val's Meltdown mod - it essentially lets you smelt down loot into ingots and gems and offers some new ways to boost revenue in a manner I have not found to be immersion-breaking. Chuzzz
Player Commands use player.additem 0000000f "enter desired amount" Without "" of course. Dragon Killing and going to Labyrinths is a great way to rack up the coinage, if you don't want to cheat.

My "additem F" troll aside, this is what I do. By level 15ish I had easily 30k gold, and all the best gear I could find from shops around Skyrim. I'd also suggest what the other guy said aswell, which is to simply PLAY the game. Collect valuable loot from corpses, always check for hidden chests in dungeons, ect... you'll be rich in no-time. Also, this game (while being ROLE based), isn't exactly the type of game where you need to accumulate hoards of money... Unless that is how you are roleplaying. I suspect though, based on your original question, that you haven't been playing Skyrim for too long. My advice would honestly be to just play the game at your pace. Don't go too overboard on "Following the Main Quests" and simply EXPLORE. My first playthrough I made a PURE MAGE (since in Oblivion it was almost impossible) and I completely skipped (after the Dragon Rising quest) past whiterun and EXPLORED my way all to Winterhold. No, I didn't buy a caravan and insta-travel there... I ran ALL THE WAY around the west side of the mountainous region, discovered Morthal and Dawnstar before Winterhold... and looted EVERY dungeon I could find. This was like my ultimate pilgrimage to the Mages College where I would hone my skills before entering into the Winterhold College to master my profession. ^^^ The reason I'm telling you this is because it just seems like you are having a hard time trying to find how to play the game and just want to "be rich"... but this isn't that type of game... really. Just play how you want to play, and be sure to ROLE PLAY in this truly ROLE PLAYING game.
anb2004
try to find 1 gold ore and put it in your inventory... than go buy transmute spellhunt every iron ore that scattered in skyrim world, not hard to find i guessuse the transmute spell to turn that iron ore to silver ore than transmute again to gold ore..got plenty of gold ore yet ? smith it into jewelry than enchant it with some petty soul gem as much as you canthan simply wander around to every big city in skyrim for looking rich merchant... and yes, got smithing, enchanting, alteration, speech level boost up, and the most important thing....i'm RICH !
