could be a number of things

1. make sure you have Fallout Mod Manager Installed ( http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36901 ), once and after you install, it will ask you what game to choose. pick one you are tryna play.

2. in Fomm Select "Tools" in the top menu, Scroll down till you see " Archive Invalidation " Click that. and hit " Yes" Atchive invalidation is now active ( I would also recommend going to http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35935 . for the manuel install) if you know how to install mods (Put all ESP,ESM, Texture< Meshes, Sounds, Video.... Into the " Data" Folder in you Fallout Directory

3.Install Fallout New Vegas Script Extender ( http://nvse.silverlock.org/ ) Download latest version and extract into your FNV Directory were FalloutNV.exe is located

ANother tool i recommend but isnt reqired is 4g+ 4gFNVSE ( http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35262 ) After you ectract this to your main Diectory were FalloutNV.exe is located Go back to http://nvse.silverlock.org/ and

scroll down untill you see a line like this "* Is NVSE compatible with the "FNV4GB" loader that enables the large-address-aware (aka 4GB) flag?

- Yes. Use this alternate loader. " Click hte Blue link .. this will Merge FNVSE and 4g Together. i

4. Only if you have a lot of Mods download FNV Edit. TO Merged all mods..

Hope all goes well and Remember ! When and before you download a mod. It Is Most IMPORTANT to read its description first for I incompatibilities and Requirements.. this may be another reason why mods dont work cuz it reqires something, that isnt there or it Incompatible wiht some mods you may have

Thanks Outlaw71, but... I've been reading all of the advice about ArchiveInvalidation, FOMM, and nvse. I use all of them. Most of my mods are working like Undeground Hideout and various weapon mods. I can not get Dimon Type3 to work. It has the problem of adding a black panty to the body and sometimes a "double" breast image. I am using Dimon's Cali body and have coped the meshes and textures (.nif and .dds files) for Cali as directed I beleive. I will try one more time, maybe but this has become annoying. I'm probably still doing something wrong. I'd like to add some armor etc. based on Dimon Type 3 body, but would like to get the body working correctly first.

Anything I may have forgotten? Somebody said that the default Steam directory should not be used. Don't think I understand that one.
