NPC Script Overhaul

This is more a question if this has been done already before I build on it more..

 

A couple years ago.. I built a NPC script.. And I will be brief to what it did..

 

First I added a package to many NPC's of a Sandbox large area near current location..

 

Used the Attributes of a target.. Aggresive or not.. to make the NPC or in my case followers decided if they liked them .. Based on the other NPC's Attributes.. exp.. if one looked at mine for 10 seconds or more.. mine would look at the NPC's Attributes and may just pick a fight with them based on its aggression .. so on..

 

Also .. made the NPC's hungry using an actor effect triggered by food.. if the 14 or so hour effect wore off they would look for food.. allowing to purchase..

 

If they were low on caps they would sell/trade what they found scavaging for caps/Food..

 

This was with only traders I created here and there.. couldn't get it to work for all..

 

Also created a script .. kinda the same as V1.. where when you sit they eat.. but only during certain times with mine .. if they arn't hungry or have the hunger effect present they just sandbox or look for stuff..

 

 

OK well now for what this is about..

 

I found this worked well with my Followers .. SO .. i added the script code to non followers in the wasteland.. with some edits.. (toned down)

 

what i found after about 3 weeks game time..

 

They grouped together .. (due to the Sandbox current location) and attributes... Very aggressive with other Very aggressive.. and faction based in some cases..

 

usually around food sources that respawn..

 

also due to sleep packages around places with many beds..

 

What i didn't take into consideration .. and this is whats interesting ..

 

When the sleep package is triggered and there is no place in that radius with a bed.. They move onto the next package.. So it seems as though they worked in shifts.. one gathering buying and selling food.. while others slept..

 

There were a lot of strange glitches like all gathering in a small room and crashing when entering but it was limited to certain areas...

 

So my question is.. I would like to build on this.. HAS IT BEEN DONE ALREADY?

 

it was really interesting how they grouped over time..

this would be interesting , i always thinked why the companions dont need to eat,drink,sleep too

 

maybe add a tax of 100 caps a day plus food,water for the help of jericho or other merc

 

and just food,water for slave fighters or gook karma companious if you are a saint

I'm tossing this one to the curb.. got looking into it and there would be to many conflicts with exsisting mods .. Would be a File Support nightmare.. Back to the RR script.. which is more then fine with me.. Great coding..
