fore
Why do you care? Have pity with the poor Chinese, Japonese, or Russian players who have no idea of the English language, and aren't even able to log in here at Nexus. I have the same problem when I go over at the Chinese sites. I'd rather proud that my mod or tool is so popular world wide. I rather have FNIS be translated and uploaded with all credits on a "good" site, than have it uploaded as is on a "bad" site with a usage translation only. And people who get banned on Nexus can use THAT as a torrent.

NexusComa
Don't reply ... easy I've said this a 100 times (even though I know many will disagree) you are creating freeware ...You have no legal rights to something you made in a kit you don't own with resources you never made.Even if you did create the resources you still will never be able to defend that once you upload a file here. You made the file for all to enjoy. From the looks of it you did a great job. Be happy, now many others can enjoy your hard work. You went from local talent to worldwide fame. Surly if you were ever to get anything out of it, you have a way better chance now. Do these things for the love of doing it. Not to gain favor you will never see ... siskulous
Don't reply ... easy I've said this a 100 times (even though I know many will disagree) you are creating freeware ...You have no legal rights to something you made in a kit you don't own with resources you never made. You're wrong here, legally speaking. Such things depend greatly upon the licensing that allowed you to use said resources, but generally speaking you always have some legal rights, over the original portion of your work if nothing else. In the case of the Skyrim Creation Kit, Bethesda, and ONLY Bethesda, is granted full rights to distribute any mods you create with it with or without your permission. Notably absent is any clause which denies you ownership over any mod you make or gives anyone other than yourself and Bethesda the right to distribute it. In the absence of such a clause existing copyright law clearly grants it to you. For reference here, I'm a web developer in the real world. As such, knowing this sort of stuff is a part of my job. TL/DL, always read the license before you go assuming that you know what rights you do and don't have. The Creation Kit license is a very short one with only light legalese. Now, that said, You made the file for all to enjoy. From the looks of it you did a great job. Be happy, now many others can enjoy your hard work. You went from local talent to worldwide fame. Surly if you were ever to get anything out of it, you have a way better chance now. Do these things for the love of doing it. Not to gain favor you will never see ... I agree with you. There's no sense losing sleep trying to stop illegal distribution of something you're not doing for profit.
