Rennn
I've been through the top lists, and I've searched for a lot of mods, and I have a lot of mods. I not only have common mods, HGEC, CM Companions, the Realswords collection, and Qarl's Textures, but also more uncommon ones, such as Only Humans, Improved Campfire Behavior, and Realistic Blocking. Right now, since the last few crawls through the Nexus have yielded few mods that change a large aspect of the game, I'm putting the question to a forum. I'm looking for two kinds of mods: Game changers, and uncommon mods: Mods that revamp a large part of the game (like Open Cities or Improved Campfire Behavior), and mods that most people don't have, that are difficult to find without a lot of luck or without actually knowing the name. cmkennedy
Denock Arrow is a requirement IMHO. Press Z (or whatever key you choose) while stringing an arrow to denock, thereby not wasting an arrow. Seems to be overlooked until you play a marksman character. Likewise Archery Rebalance (I think that's it), which increases arrow speed and decreases arrow gravity, making archery more realistic and natural. ponyboy10
Denock Arrow is a requirement IMHO. I have Realistic Archery, i think. I have also been using some mods to keep things from getting annoying: Auto-level items...http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39635, Bag of Holding, and Ring of Infinite Arrows (*cough* only slightly cheating ;)). I always *hate* having to micromanage my inventory and search around for arrows. The auto-level items one is pretty new, but it works well and keeps you from having to worry about being the right level before doing a quest to get the "best" version of an item. I can't think of anything else right now. Edit : Another good one I just started using was Guard Overhaul (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5977). Rennn
Thanks for the denock arrow, I hadn't thought of that (weird, since I'm a thief and bow type character). As it happens, I already have a mod that adjusts arrow speed and range depending on bow grade though, as well as to increase damage. Iron bows simply toss arrows, while arrows shot from an ebony bow are almost as fast as bullets and can be used to snipe, for example :)
ponyboy10
I fired up Oblivion again last night, and realized I forgot about this one I just started using... http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41244 It adds more random enchantments to loot. Nothing overpowered, but it adds some diversity.
