x29
Please help me finish this quest. I've visited all 7 shrines in the Pilgrim's Path, and I have the journal entries that say I completed those 7 steps, but I can't get Gavas Drin (Temple in Mournhold) to acknowledge it. He keeps telling me to complete all 7. I think what may have happened was that I accidentally completed the Mask of Vivec in Gnisis pilgrimage before Drin gave me the quest. Maybe that messed up the sequence that's supposed to happen. Anyway, now I think I'm stuck in my progress in the Temple because I can't complete the Seven Graces. I have Tribunal and Bloodmoon installed, along with the other official mods and a handful of user mods. I suppose it could be a mod clash, but I don't know what to look for. The only ones I can think of would be the LGNPC mods I loaded, but that doesn't seem so likely. Is there a console command or something I can use to fix this so I can continue to progress in the Temple? Thanks!
Malchik
I don't think the pilgimage quest requires you to report back to a specific quest giver, it should work in almost any temple. However you may need to be in one where they can give you further quests and this would not include Mournhold. Try reporting back to Ald Ruhn or Vivec first. x29
I don't think the pilgimage quest requires you to report back to a specific quest giver, it should work in almost any temple. D'oh! I should have figured that out, since it was mentioned on the wiki page for this quest. Anyway, some monk at the temple in Balmora recognized my pilgrimages, so doing them of order apparently wasn't a problem. I was just confused because Drin had the "Seven Graces" topic in his dialog box, but he never acknowledged that I'd completed it until someone else gave the recognition. Edit: Okay, it was actually more involved than that ... I left out the important detail that I'd tried re-installing the game with mods before visiting the Balmora monk. I was able to complete the quest, but then I noticed that a bunch of stuff had been reset, and I'd lost a fair amount of game info due to my screwing up reinstalling mods. So, I fixed my installation, went back to an older save, and the problem was still there. So I used Wrye Mash to clean up that save file, and it fixed a number of bad refs and stuff. Drin still refused to acknowledge my quest completion, so I did the pilgrimage over again (whew!), and now it does work, and Drin acknowledges the completion and I didn't need to go to some other Temple priest. I think the real problem was that during my phase of mods experimentation I'd screwed up my save files, and so the wryemash program helped sort it out. Malchik
Hi! What is the pilgimage quest? I want to know about it! Thank you in advance! It is the first quest given to you by the Temple faction in Morrowind. Almost any temple leader can give it to you. Until you complete it, you cannot get further temple quests. It requires you to activate seven shrines.
Abramul
Most are simple enough. The one that got me was the Puzzle Canal...I assumed "Breathe the Waters of His Glory and the Way is Made Clear" meant that I should cast a water breathing spell and go swimming.
