Elder Scrolls Movie?

Personally, I think that TES IV could indeed work as a movie. I mean, if they could just work out how to balance all the player-controlled aspects (no small feat), the main quest would be verygood as a movie. Imagine a whole movie set to awesome orchestra music over rolling fields and forests with the main character sneaking and theiving and dismembering his way through the already memorable main quest storyline. If they could, as I said, balance out the player-controlled aspects, then the movie would be no harder to make than perhaps the Lord of the Rings movies. That is, if they could get the cash...

I would definitely buy a ticket just to see an Oblivion gate fully rendered with all the mighty power of Hollywood.

The main quest would certainly make a movie, and a good one, all by itself. In fact, they'd have to chop bits of it out for length, but it would still work.

-Prison scene & escape

-Wander the marketplace a bit & meet some people & get some stuff

-Head to Weynon Priory. Fight the highwayman at Fort Ash

-Deliver the Amulet

-Head to Kvatch. Have a run-in with some weirdo Hackdirt types. Get a peek at Wendir

-Meet the Hysterical Hirtel and do the Kvatch stuff

-Find Martin and take him to Weynon priory. Fight cultists

-Head to Cloud Ruler; maybe have something happen, maybe not for time's sake

-Compress Cloud Ruler temple stuff, get to Luther Broad's

-Find Baurus & take out cultist.

-Compress the finding the books part and figuring out the clues part. Bye-bye, Tar-Meena

-Infiltrate Dagon's shrine, have it all go wrong. Big fight, grab Mysterium xarxes.

-Do Azura's quest. Spice it up! Let her actually appear this time. Make sure she's hot.

-Compress Sancre Tor a bit, but make it good.

-Miscarcand can be played for laughs until it turns ugly.

-Let some NPC go try to round up aid for Bruma

-Bruma gate invasion- make it awesome!

-Off to Paradise!

-Compress paradise for time's sake

-Off to Imperial City

-The final battle!

Let Jauffre live so he can give expositional wrap-up stuff

-Off to more high adventure!

Cue the music and the credits.

That's a 3 hour movie, and a good one.

That is where constructive creativity comes in. I can't even begin to count how many topless women there have been in movies rated PG13 - Long hair or convieniently placed woodland creatures take care of the rating bump.

Really? It just skips from NC-17 to XXX, then? Hmmm.. did not know that.

Umm...no. NC-17 is the highest it goes. G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17. That's it.

Anyway, Azura doesn't have to be topless in the movie, or at least revealed as such.

Yeah, they'd probably put a shirt on her. :glare:

Perhaps this is a bit old school or something, but there was actually a dungeons and dragons movie, for the younger people on the forum, d&d is a rpg that basically set the standard for 90% of the rpgs in the world today. The key difference being that d&d required interpersonal skills, and imagination, literacy, and an understanding of basic math :whistling:

lol, well im youngish at 24 and i remember D&D, so you dont have to be too old to remember it ;)

As for a TES movie, who said it had to be based on the events of any of the games? Why not have one based in Tamriel, but with a whole new story for the movie? Like the whole worldspace and lore used but none of the game storylines are used, that way all the people who would cry "its not meant to be like that" would have nothing to cry about as its all new. The hard part would be deciding which race and land gets center stage. There's bound to be someone yelling "I like <insert race of favour> more, why weren't they shown more in the movie". Then again you can't please everyone, so let them yell away.

On a side note, before ANYONE corrects my spelling, i am from Britain so i use BRITISH english, hence my spelling of favour is correct ;)
