you know, I have not once though of loading it into the kit because of the trunk being gone, and the trunk is there, just not visible + scope says there are invalid vertices...that means it's there still. just not visible.

You are a wizzard. They look great. Thank you very much!

I've been totally happy, untill I came to visit my new Tree House of yours. Guess, what I found there?

Right: those creapy giant thorns sticking out from each and every corner. My Christmas dream have not come true. It's turned to a nightmare  I havent noticed one more "wrong" pinetree model:

So, I dare ask you to edit it the same way you did with previous ones (if it wont take hours as the discription would). Or please, tell me how you did it in short. Or I will be waiting for Santa to come.

See if it works.

If you tell me that is is o. k. this way I'll try to give a short description.

Short description how I did it:
I used Nifskope (one of the new 2.0 series that makes collision visible) and old Blender 2.49.
First prepare the nif for the import to Blender:
Make a copy of your original nif and open this copy in Nifskope. Change User Version from 12 to 11 and User Version 2 from 83 to 34 (Fallout settings). Convert the root BSLeafAnimNode to NiNode. Remove the collision, the leaves-NiTriShape and the BSLightingShaderProperty and NiAlphaProperty of the trunk-NiTriShape. So only the trunk-NiTriShape with the NiTriShapeData remains.
Import to Blender. In edit mode delete the branches. In object mode scale up x 10, then export as 3ds file. Open your original tree nif in Nifskope, right click on the trunk-NiTriShape and then File->Import->import 3ds, choose your exported 3ds file. When you did everything right, the old trunk will now be replaced by the trunk without branches.
This only works without problems because in this tree nif only the trunk has collision, not the branches. If you use this method on other nifs you will usually have to make a new collision as the collision remains unchanged.

Gonna try this method right away.

For the reason I GOT ANOTHER THORN TREE:
