GrabaK
Hello there! After modifying my custom .ini file at the 'My Games' folder, I downloaded NMM and started the modding fun. Since some of those would need the script extender, I've been starting the game through F4SE, but only now I noticed many, if not the majority of my mods simply won't work at all... Some texture and model mods are working normally, same with mods like True Storms or Darker Nights, but mods like those cosmetic ones for Looks Menu, Pip-boy flashlight, along with Pip-boy interface color changes, HUD & UI sorting and those that add a Companion stat window,or even texture mods that change the vault suit, for example, are simply not working at all.. It seems to be so random. All of my mods are being installed through 0.63.9 NMM, and my load order (organized through LOOT) is as follows¹... What could be the cause of the problem? It's driving me mad! Thanks in advance! ¹GameMode=Fallout4 Fallout4.esm=1Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp=1HUDFramework.esm=1ArmorKeywords.esm=1Homemaker.esm=1TrueStormsFO4.esm=1JB - HmmWhatToWear.esm=1Third Person Revolver Audio Fix.esp=1TinaDeLucaSettlerVoiced.esp=1CompanionStatus.esp=1Armorsmith Extended.esp=1ValdacilsItemSorting-00-ValsPicks-NoDLCVersion.esp=1chem redux.esp=1VIS-PatchChemReduxWeightless.esp=1BetterModDescriptionsLite.esp=1BetterModDescriptionsAE.esp=1LooksMenu.esp=1Homemaker - Unlocked Institute Objects.esp=1InteriorsEnhanced.esp=1Pip-Boy Flashlight.esp=1The Eyes Of Beauty.esp=1LongerHeadlampLight.esp=1EasyHacking.esp=1Perk Magazine Material Fix.esp=1dD-Enhanced Blood Basic.esp=1EAMR.esp=1EferasShoulderBag.esp=1KSHairdos.esp=1Kat's New Hairstyles1.4.esp=1Kat's New Hairstyles Dudes 1.2.esp=1Lots More Female Hairstyles.esp=1Lots More Male Hairstyles.esp=1AzarPonytailHairstyles.esp=1ZellaHairDye.esp=1Synth Overhaul.esp=1DOOM1911.esp=1Colored Highlights CC.esp=1Looking Fabulous - Reclamation.esp=1LooksMenu Customization Compendium.esp=1JaneBod.esp=1JB - HWTW - NPCImplement.esp=1JB - HWTW - BreakUndies.esp=1BetterSettlers.esp=1BetterSettlersNoLollygagging.esp=1K9TacticalHarness.esp=1Insignificant Object Remover.esp=1QuickEnterFromStand.esp=1QuickExitToStand.esp=1DV-Durable Vertibirds.esp=1DV-No Levelled Vertibirds.esp=1UNLIMITED JETPACK.esp=1BrighterSettlementLights_LessHarsh.esp=1Dialogue Camera Sensitivity.esp=1True Nights v03.esp=1JB - CasualTramp.esp=1JB - DomiRaider.esp=1JB - HighschoolHeaven.esp=1JB - MilitaryMommy.esp=1Depth of Field Removal.esp=1HN66Fo4_EarringsV1.esp=1DX Commonwealth Mini Dresses.esp=1DX Commonwealth Shorts.esp=1DX Vault Girl Shorts.esp=1DX Courser X-92 Power Suit.esp=1slootyVaultSuit.esp=1Toxic Raider Armour.esp=1Evil Detective Outfit.esp=1AE JB - HmmWhatToWear.esp=1Eli_Rockin Red Rocket.esp=1Wasteland Water Revival - Zen Master.esp=1BasementLiving.esp=1See You Sleep CW editon - Beta.esp=1Smoke-able Cigars.esp=1UniqueRaiderNormalmap.esp=1rtactical.esp=1ASVektor.esp=1M1Garand.esp=1T-51C Power Armor.esp=1DOOMDesertEagle.esp=1M1Garand - AWKCR-VIS.esp=1M9.esp=1Companion Infinite Ammo.esp=1VisibleCompanionAffinity.esp=
damanding
Given the random nature of mods not working, I'd say the problem is most likely NMM itself. It's been extremely buggy lately and to make matters worse they've discontinued support for it while they create a new NMM from scratch. You can browse the Open Beta NMM forum section to see if you find solutions that work for you (some solutions work for some people but not all). Alternatively you can switch to an older, more stable version of NMM: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases such as 0.61.21. Yet another possibility is to switch to Mod Organizer 2 which has recently been picked up by a new developer or switch to installing mods manually. Unless you're fairly experienced with modding I don't recommend the latter choice. Mod Organizer (does work for Fallout 4 even though it's hosted on Skyrim SE site) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6194/? If you keep a copy of your load order backed up, you can reinstall all your mods with the new/old mod manager of your choice and just make sure they're in the same load order. You should still be able to use the save game you've been using.
GrabaK
Arck, all that routine of managing backups and putting too much time on manual install was really tiresome, I really will try to avoid it :pinch: I'll first try an older version of NMM, then try MO.. Thanks for the reply, I hope it works, or else I'll have to do it like Skyrim and wait 2 years after release for more stability :ermm:
