TigerWolfe
In the armor perk trees there is a perk that gives one a bonus to their Armor Rating if they're wearing armor all from the same set. As it stands now I'm personally not too wild about any of the "sets" of armor and tend to wear a mish mash for my own personal "cool" factor. Due to this that perk never activates for me. Would it be possible, or is there already, to make a mod which would allow players to craft a "set" of armor. Basically you pick the mesh/texture and the equivalent stats and once you've crafted a full set, as long as it's all light or all heavy, you'd be able to use that Perk. And of course you'd have to be able to name the set of armor as well. If this request has already been made I do apologize, I searched a couple times and didn't find anything that seemed to cover this.
Eidam
There's an even easier solution... The armor cap! With an armor cap at 667 (567 when wearing armor in all the slots due to hidden bonuses on each piece), Matching Set becomes unnecessary to achieve maximum levels of damage reduction, so you shouldn't worry too much about it. There is a mod out there to make Matching Set and Well Fitted not require helmets though.
TigerWolfe
Oh... I was unaware of that. Although I don't believe I'm anywhere near that cap.
Eidam
You can manage, anyway. It's easy achievable with Wolf or Steel armor and a couple points in Juggernaut, though it may be more intense for Light Armor... check out the No Helmet Required mod to make it a tad easier.
