Weapon sheathes on characters back and appearance filter

I've been searching for a mod (and haven't found one) about an ''appearance filter''.In my mind this would allow you to put items into kind of social slots like terraria has which would keep the stats from your ''real'' weapons and armor but they would look like the equipment in the social slots.Also i couldn't find any mods that put sword sheathes on the characters back.If anyone makes or finds any can you put in thread.

I was thinking about it, and I came up with a solution for this.

 

 

What if Smithing allowed you to improve armor and weapons, with a Grindstone and Workbench, to a maximum cap depending on your skill, regardless of the weapon type?

 

It would work like this...

 

Once you get Steel Smithing perk, you can improve Steel weapons to deal n more damage, for a total damage of x. However, if you improve an Iron weapon, that weapon would be improved by the amount needed to reach a total damage as x, the same as an improved Steel weapon.

 

Once you get Dwarven Smithing, you can improve Dwemer weapons to deal N more damage, for a total damage of X. You can also improve Iron and Steel weapons to deal a total damage of X, making them all interchangeable once you use a Grindstone to improve them.

 

This way, you could wear whatever items you like as you can improve them to be as powerful the most powerful weapon or armor in that slot.

 

 

It doesn't work for clothing, but then all clothing is interchangeable from the start, right?

The way it is now, I can pretty much continue improving my...say....Daedric One Handed Sword to the maximum amount of damage it will deal at base level...which I don't know off hand, but I think it's like....96 or something. The perks will increase it to well beyond that. With the appropriate gear equipped, you can deal up to 500 damage with a single handed weapon, and a little more than 1000 with a two-handed weapon.

 

But I don't think I quite understand why that would effect the slot that they go to. An appearance mod would be great to have. The Malos weapons would look pretty cool strapped to the back. So would the Third Era weapons. But I don't see why that should effect the nature of the weapon.
