alex61821 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 so i have run into a few mercenaries on the road and they say they are on their way to some local trouble. so i tried to persuade and intimidate one to tell me where thet were going and it didnt work. so on the next one i saved right before and then paid them to tell me and she said be sure and take care of the problem because here reputation is riding on it. but i have no idea where or what she is talking about. did she add a map marker? there is no quest in my journal. any idea how these quests are supposed to work?
Moredhel Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Yeah, I got the same problem. I usually bump into one on the road from Riverwood to Whiterun (if there ain't a wolf, farmer + cow or khajit DB guy), and after I pay them there's no map update, no quest, nothing :(
JanusForbeare Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Sounds like you got hustled. Seriously though, the quest is probably in the "Misc." section of your journal. Those ones are easy to miss.

alex61821 Posted January 6, 2012 Author Posted January 6, 2012 well i guess i wont be paying them anymore. i was tempted to follow them to where they were going but walking slowly across what could have been the whole world kind of lost its appeal to me.
whiteshaix Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 They never go that far. I usually follow them, they often go to a nearby cavern or bandit hideout. One helped me fighting a dragon. ^^

WildDragonfly Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 I ran into one, but she wouldn't tell me where she was going >.> So I followed her out of sheer curiosity for what seemed like an hour and she eventually stopped outside of a mine(I think it was a mine anyways). Rather than going inside and actually checking it out like she said she would do, she just stood outside and was still standing there like a fool when I left the place.
