Is it cold out here?

Maybe guards can come up to you, tell you to put clothes on and then give you maybe ragged clothes to put on. If you don't put those on within maybe 5 minutes or so, the guards could come up to you again and either give you a fine and/or some jail time (and so forth from there).

I mean....I sometimes fight naked..but that's just for my own....amusement.

Why should I be punished for looking sexy in my birthday suit? Maybe if I were tub'o'lard with a sandwich stuck in a flab or something...

I WOULD like a consequence for not wearing armor, or wearing skimpy clothes or something in cold weather though.

THAT'D be neat. It seems kinda strange that...as a Breton, I can wear some revealing hide armor (in Vanilla even), and not catch some kind of cold or disease while a blizzard pelts me with sleet and ice.

maybe a debuff that slows you and reduces your hp recovery time. not to much on the slowing but maybe 30% on hp recovery.

unless you are a nord where it would be reduced slowing and like 20% hp recovery.

See like that, except for the Nord part. I mean....they have 50% friggin' cold resistance, haha.

If there would be any penalty for them, then 5% or 10% would probably seem pretty appropriate, to me at least.

I that, or you put a Stamina penalty on everybody but Nords in this scenario.

I'm going to have to disagree with the fine part. The guards as well as everybody else already tell me:

"Hey! Put some clothes on!"

or

"You're going to catch a terrible cold" or whatever.

or

...something about decency.

If it involved any dialogue options, I' dsay it should be more along the lines of persuasion. I really dug the seduction in Fallout 2.

And since there's no positive reaction for some kind of promiscuous act, I don't see why there should be a penalty.

This comes down to realism versus game mechanics. It's a matter of opinion, but for some of us, it's the little details which bring the game together.

Yeah, but the with one detail missing, at least for me, I'd feel like it's incomplete.

It's like...in the game Gothic, where you come across a bandit group with several named bandits in a camp that is pretty well guarded, and sits in a gorge that has a bunch of raptors ("snappers") walking around the base of this encampment.

Sure they're THERE. And sure there would probably be a group of invalids and/or exiled prisoners within a prison colony that large, but why name them in the first place if they don't serve a purpose? Which...they didn't. You had to mod the game to give them one hahaha.

So what I'm saying is, if you're gonna have the mod being one way, why not just go the extra little bit to have it be the other? Though, I guess you might not feel something is missing.

I, on the other hand, LOVE nudist colonies since that's what Whiterun becomes whenever I get the Perfect Touch perk. X-D

So yesterday my newest character finally earned the 25 grand he needed to buy a house in Solitude. Finally! I had a chest to keep my loot in (it was facing entirely in the wrong direction, but hey, who am I to complain about game features?). So I dropped off all my gear and went running down to the good ol' Winkin' Skeever for a pint of celebratory mead.

On the way, I passed a pretty young lady leaning up against one of the shops. Being a gentleman, I nodded hello, and she responded by demurely purring, "It takes a lot of confidence to walk around naked. Believe me, I know.". Now, this phased me for a second. Clearly, I had found the biggest tramp in all of Skyrim. I opened my inventory to see if I still had my amulet of Mara on me, and discovered, to my utter humiliation, that I had neglected to dress before leaving the house.

Obviously, I ran back home squealing like a little girl. As I ran, it occurred to me just how many guards had allowed my blatant wardrobe malfunction to go unpunished. I realize Nords aren't exactly the modest types, but you'd think they'd draw the line somewhere. If only so that no one has to dig naked, frozen corpses out of the snow.

I've never laughed so hard at the internet. Thank you, kind sir.

Back on-topic, I think it would be a good idea to revamp all crimes in Skyrim, and add in a few misdemeanors. Constantly shouting after the guards ask you politely to stop? Disorderly conduct - 12 hours in jail/50 gold fine. Sprinting & smashing into people as you go? Petty assault - 6 hours in jail/100 gold fine. Running around town naked as the day you were born? Public indecency - 12 hours in jail/500 gold fine.

The fines & jail times could go up every time and per offense, to make things more interesting. Let's say you're on your 5th offense of "shouting in town." You'd have to spend 3 days in jail and pay 500 gold. Excellent idea!
