Is it just me or does anyone else feel the cities are to easy to decimate. Example i walked into solitude with blade 79 heavy armour 60 with a companion and breezed through it. The capital city of skyrims entire population slaughtered by two people, hell the blue palace had one lonely guard standing watch outside im just saying a capital city could probably do with a better garrison or something it was pathetic

The City guard should garrison when the AI (which is lacking everywhere in the game,) notices the player massacring the city. Guards should place the wooden Palisades from the civil war questline to slow down the player and bring in air support and the Guards should stand in front of villages to defend them with their lives instead of just charging towards you.

Or maybe im wanting too much from a game which was ment to be perfect..

I agree, cities are definatly easy to clear but the way i see it , as a dragonborn, your thu'um is being respected even by the most powerful dragons such as Paarthunax and Ovahdiing and for those of them who don't respect your thu'um, everyone knows what happens to them lol. They get killed by it .

So my point here is that any of those dragons can destroy cities or at least cause a whole lot of damage to them , yet for YOU, those dragons are rather easy to take down so in other words, in this game our character is definatly OP ( Over Powered). Even Alduin a dragon who could never be killed by anyone else , not even armies , got taken down by you. So in my opinion it's only logicle that you would be able to destroy a city in this game. Also, the fact that every single gods want you as their champion is another good proof that you're a force to be reckoned with.

As for me , i never tried to slaughter Solitude but i did kill everyone in Markarth about 3 times . It wasn't even my intention at first. I was simply doing a quest in that town and every step of the way, i was getting warned by the guards to leave it alone and stay out of the town's buiness . Since i didn't listen to them and kept going, near the end of the quest chain , about 15 guards surrounded me and told me i was under arrest for conspiracy against Markarth and for murder. I think now that i was actualy supposed to go to jail in order to continue that quest but my pride took over and since i never went to jail a single time in this game i decided to resist the arrest . All guards in the whole town started attacking me and they all ended up dead. I was using Lydia as my follower at the time and she did have quite a hard time during this fight, she did fall to her knees more than once but she survived and i ended up walking out of the town through the front gate laughing . The other two times was because i went back to the city and even though it was about a month later, the guards DID remember me and there was still an enormous bounty on my head so then again they tried to arrest me and yet again i refused to cooperate lol .

Maybe another logicle explanation as to why the Dragonborn should be able to kill an entire city is because every person protecting that city spends all day patroling the streets and arresting lesser criminals such as thieves while the dragonborn spends his days traveling the world, clearing dungeons filled with Undeads, restless spirits, giant spiders and trolls. Walks around with about 200-300 pounds of gear on him and also receives training from the very masters of their arts. Such a person is bound to be hard to kill.
