TheJeeringJoker
Hey friends, i've been trying to merge Shodan44's masks/cowl in to a hood in NifSkope but as my skills are quite limited I haven't found no success. The masks in question are present in both these mods (1 & 2), let me clarify that we've got Shodan's permission to use and mod his files. I would like to use that mask to make a masked hood using the thieves guild mask. It would also be cool if alongside the hood we could make an standalone mask. It's very important that it has beast support (Shodan's mask do have it). I tried to this all by myself by tinkering with the NifSkope. I was able to separate the mask from the helmet, but that's it and it's getting quite frustrating. Hope any of you fellow Dragonborns can help me. Cheers and thanks for reading! TheJeeringJoker
By the way, if we had to choose one of the two masks, the one in the orcish helmet is way cooler... so yeah. Plz help.
TheJeeringJoker
Alright, I tried doing it myself, but i'm not having much luck. At first, I deleted the helmet branch on the mesh and then through the Creation Kit I tried altering the properties of the helm to transform it into another item, like a circlet, so I could combine it with a hood. It did not work as a soon as I altered the item slot the mask turned invisible in game. Don't know why. Defeated, once again... but not beaten. I chugged some kool-aid and this n*gger was ready for round 2. I might add that i'm trying to mix the mask meshes in this mod into the hood in this mod. I was able to mix the meshes thanks to BryanWee20's awesome NifSkope tutorial for beginners (Part 1 & 2) but once again the mask turns invisible in game. I did the texture bit that Bryan explains in the video, but I don't know where I went wrong that as said, the mask is invisible in game. By the way, I just realised that the tutorial author is the same guy who uploaded the armor i'm trying to import the mask into! My idea was to create a "Mortal Kombat-esque" Reptile character. Through the powers of my sh*tty photoshop skills i was able to recreate this concept idea: (I tried uploading the pic, but the site keeps telling about some error, so watch the pic here!!) So yeah, I'm at this point in which any help would be welcomed! Thanks for reading my frustration diaries and Merry Christmas to everyone!
