rainfrog
I was checking out slingshot channel on youtube and thought "Those would be cool in Skyrim!" I particularly liked the hand guard style. I was wondering if it was possible to have slingshots that ran off the archery modifiers while at the same time having a melee attack the ran off the one handed or unarmed modifiers? Something like when pulling for a shot eagle eye effect was still possible but when not pulling for a shot the block button would be a melee attack. There could be hand guards with spikes and/or blades on them and different materials for the slingers and shot just like bows, i.e.: "Spiked Ebony Slingshot" "Bladed Elven Slingshot" "Steel Shot" "Glass Shot" and so on. I dont know how of if this could work but it sounds like a really cool idea to me.

Deleted1308005User
I saw this post earlier, and tought that these would be awesome. Maybe less damage than bows, but faster? And maybe more.. utility like? Distraction, and not treated as assault. (Killing someone with these would cause you to get bounty)And well, it would be fun   Killing a dragon with slingshot that is. rainfrog
Slingshots can be serious weapons. I do think that they would need to do less damage than bows but not so much it would cripple them as weapons. plus the Melee feature would be awesome, damage on those would be great at between daggers and one handers. Slingshots are fun to hunt small game with and can do serious damage to a person especially in a surprise attack or one that hits a vital region. Deleted1308005User
Well, as we don't have regional damage, it can be hard to modify such a thing. But maybe some custom effects? Slower move speed for some time? Random chance of hurling dragon from sky to ground, planting on his face? <-- (-Heck, this would be awesome, and sneaking up on a flying dragon wouldn't be easy, so it might not even be unbalanced?) Or small, poisonous shard objects?
