False "save corruption" during gameplay

I tried the game without any interface changes - no Better Messages, no nothing. Corruption kept happening. However, using interface mods seem to speed it up. Previously in this thread I saw reports that even turning on subtitles seem to do this. Also, I was playing with gamepad for some time and this didn't change the situation, so I don't think using mouse or keyboard really matters. I'm not using an ENB, as it seems really unstable for SSE and F4 (and the game looks nice by itself).

!!! So I only started having this problem yesterday. I'm using MO, ENB, but no Oldrim mods except for some landscape textures (which I've been playing with for weeks). The only thing I changed recently was I added a load of new weapon mods - currently sitting at 202 .esps.

I never have CTDs. But the last two sessions I've played I've had this false corruption problem, though I haven't noticed the bit about the dialogue disappearing? I read through like the first 10 or so pages of the thread, is there any major progress on theories behind it?

Well, we out here can only theorise, but I think Alisu and spoonsinger have the right idea, that it's something that has happened in the last update of the game that limits in some way its capacity to handle on-screen text, especially in arrays, like menus. If you just installed a bunch of new weapon mods that would expand your crafting menus and levelled lists quite a bit. Everyone's modlist is different, so we know it's not a specific mod or combination of mods, but there are lots of mods out there that add to the burden of on-screen text for the game, and once it's over the limit, whatever that is, you start to get the problems.

For me, losing SkyUI 2.2 sent the Bug mostly into abeyance, and partially reinstalling it hasn't made it worse again, yet. I'm just getting the odd occurrence which tells me it's still there, that I must be right on the limit. But people who have never used SkyUI with SSE are getting it as well.

I think (and there are those who will disagree) that the best thing you can do is log on to bethesda's forums and contact "JLeavey" via chat. He has a team working on this problem, and the more information they have from anyone who's getting this Bug, the better able they will be to solve it. And it really needs to be solved.

Thank you for letting us know you're a sufferer too. I hope we can get this resolved.

Yeah its just starting to piss me off again, Just had a big fight at broken oar grotto and i went back to solitude after and got in a fight with a dragon and the save was already corrupt

This was in the span of about 5 - 10 minutes

At this point I think it's only something a game update can fix, It's probably caused by mods but it can only be fixed by Bethesda

Do you know how to be rich! Do what rich people do. To be poor, do what poor people do.

None of my fellow modders that are part of the sot team experience this bug. We all follow similar best practice rules and tweaks. So while i grant there is a bug, I would also say that it can be avoided. The definition of insanity as most of you know is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

I use an enb, skyui. I loot tons of bodies. No,issues. And my peeps have no issues with corrupted saves as described here. Lumenia is a different case, not the same, bug.

As an aside, 128 items is the soft limit on form, lists . After that data is unreliable. Fallout 4 has a similar issue.

tonycubed2, I'm so happy for you that I can hardly find the words to express it, but in my opinion the thing to do with a bug is not to sweep round it and pretend it isn't there, it's to get it fixed if possible. This Bug was not here before the last game update; therefore it was caused at some point, and by the same token it can be resolved. So why in the world not try? If one of the rooms in your house gets dry rot, you can move your stuff out of that room (and then the next and the next) or you can call the specialists in. That's what we're doing. I'm really glad that your houses don't have dry rot, but in that case what is it you think you have to tell us that is of any use?

Yes, sure, I could ditch seventy-five per cent of my mods, but if I've got to do that then quite honestly Skyrim is not for me. And before this last update I was playing quite happily with all my mods and more, and not experiencing this Bug. Therefore it is not something I have done, not the result of a silly little noob girl making a stupid mistake. Can you not see that?

Oh, and if you're not rich and you do what rich people do, you end up broke and under arrest. So that really doesn't work either.

I appreciate that you're trying to help, and that is wonderful, but I'm afraid you're helping us to bail the sinking ship by telling us we should have gone by train. Which--just isn't helpful. I'm sorry.
