Well started a new save and redid some of my mod loadout. Im not far in this save yet but heres me hoping it will be fine.

Modwatch: https://modwat.ch/u/Aleksi134/plugins

296 active mods

44k strings not ideal perhaps.

6.8k scripts

70k instances

230 plugins

Wooh, 44k strings, is that a fresh game? I'm level 27 in my current run and still at 34.3K. By all means if this were a scripting/strings type of issue I would imagine I should be ok, but it doesn't seem that way. I do find it strange, while at level 27 (wish I could see total played time)

237 plugins

34,330 strings

5,590 scripts

83,380 script instances

Is this maybe because I'm a lot further into the game time-wise? I expect some numbers to increase, and strings, I imagine, swell and increase during actual gameplay but probably revert to a "base" state on exit or something? My previous setups weren't much more than this as far as strings, and I ran a lot of resource intensive stuff. This is also without Warzones and Genesis. Unfortunately though I also haven't been able to get much free time, spent all day today and yesterday working on stuff in a nearby territory I'm having to cover because our other techs can't get over there anymore, with being under water and whatnot. Fortunately, 3 day weekend.

The main reason I went with very few follower mods is simply because they are the kind of mods most novice mod makers start out with, and thus they are more likely to contain bad scripting etc.

I'm really trying to avoid that in mine, Cortex gave me some solid advice on how to do some things, and I'm trying to not make too many custom spells and stuff, but boy is it fun and helps break up the generic feel of most of them. I'm also using EFF to gather them all together in groups of 5-6 to test them all at once, part of why I'm playing on Legendary, I can sit back and watch them (also RP'ing as the not-so-great-at-combat khajiit merchant who hired a group of bodyguards to go delving into dungeons in search of treasure, solves my issue about making gold too easily, because I just "give" them a split of all the profits for their labor and not feel like I'm still hitting 20K gold before level 10) so I've been testing them literally constantly.

For me it's not about the need or desire to have sex mods in my game, but Flower Girls and Amorous Adventures adds a lot of realism and immersion to the grown-up world of Skyrim. However, the dialogue in AA is so badly written its impossible to do any of the quests without massive cringing. If these were written by someone with experience in doing erotic novels, it would be an amazing mod.

Not judging, lol. Carlotta's quest wasn't that bad, but then I got into Ysolda and that was... well actually sorta funny. Terrible in that "they're pushing this way too hard" kind of way, but then I got into Idgrod the Younger and i was just done at that point. I really LOVED how the quests tied into other quests you normally wouldn't even possibly know about and got to see several new quests I had just missed at several points, but had trouble with some of the cringe aspects of actually going through some of the stuff.

I am running SkyrimSE Re-Engaged ENB Ultimate Preset and it is just perfect. No need to use Darker Nights. I have the night settings set to max in enbeffects.ini and I do require to bring a torch or lanterns when I go spelunking.

I'm running Re-Engaged as well, the standard I think, but I always have to tweak my own values so night eye actually works, and that generally just destroys the default values. I was unable to get the nights back as dark as I wanted without something somewhere just looking terrible, so darker nights was the quick easy fix.

Also looks like I'm going to have to look at NSO.

This issue for me, and I'm telling it after hundreds of hours of testing, has two triggers. They are not the reason, but without them bug never happens.
- SkyUI (triggers the bug in 20 minutes)

- General subtitles turned on (randomly, after an hour or two)

I currently have a game save without this issue. It has 57 hours of play.
It runs all mods that was pointed out as causing the issue: wet&Cold, Immersive Armors, ton of crafting mods, OBIS, SoT, Beasts of Tamriel, etc.
632 mods merged in 208 plugins. ENB added just to kill some FPS.
58184 strings. No, it's not the end of the world. The game won't crash after 65k. I did check.

Everything runs fine.
Until I either:
- turn on the subtitles for general dialogue
- install SkyUI 2.2 with any fixes. I suspect that QD Menu and whatever will have the same result.

It's not just "an engine thing". It's a very particular interface bug. I suspect it's triggered by translations or something like that.

I'm also level 27 i've playeyed 76 hours but i have a lot more script incance than you.

208 Plugins (cut down from 213 i had been playing with for the first 70 hours.)

49105 Strings

8333 Scripts

161035 Script instances

I'm playing with a lot of script heavy mods. but i have found the bug gets worse the more pluggins i have. as i recently removed a bunch of weapon and armour mods and a couple player homes i was not using and noticed my bug took longer to appear.

I also noted that a large number of the mods i have have loose files rather than BSA's in the data folder, obviously some of the mods are ones i have self ported to SSE from oldrim. Is it possible that this could be causing the game problems. do you guys think it's convering the loose files to BSA's and seeing if the bug persists?

My first playthrough was about 60 hours with a lot of the mods people are claiming cause the bug to appear fater for them. the bug first appeared for me after installing (skyui 2_2). i do however allways have subtitles turned on and i never ecperianced the bug before installing skyui. I had Better Dialogue Controls/ better messge box controls installed before installing SkyUI with no problems also. i currently have SkylightUI installed and i get the corruption bug.

I can confirm that it does get worse the more plugins you have. I recently got rid of the corruption at around 160 plugins. (Played for 8 hours without any issues what so ever)

Since this bug is annoying the hell out of me, I decided to add more mods to see when it breaks. At 181 plugins (480 mods) I got the corruption in about an hour of questing and crafting.

Corruption in about one hour with 181 plugins (480 mods) - 43436 strings - 6371 scripts - 85405 script instances

Will remove some plugins and see how it goes.

I just removed SkyUI 2.2, SkyHUD, better dialouge/message box controls, disabled subtitles via INI so as to not possibly corrupt the test by doing it in game, after everything was loaded. And, just to double check, I also completely deleted my interface folder. I was able to very easily make this bug still appear within 10 minutes. If this works for you, great! The rest of us will have to keep looking.

This is also still with a relatively high ESP count of 236.
