False "save corruption" during gameplay

Plugins could be part of it but idk tbh. Im still at 235 but i havent merged any. Imo scripts seem to have the most effect as in your total scripts.

Must be what kind of scripts then, or if you have some that doesn't play along, as I have far more scrips now with no corruption issues than I had when i got corruption every 15-20 minutes.

Well i have 6,9k-7k scripts i still dont get it that often. Used to get it more often removed some mods maybe it was bad scripts idk.

@ebkidd, when using iPreloadSizeLimit=8388608000, BethINI gives a warning about it being a "Controversial Tweak". Do you know why specifying how much RAM the computer can allocate for pre-loading game data is considered controversial?

If anyone is interesting in reading up on (and see comparison screenshots) these and more Skyrim .ini tweaks, check out the Geforce.com Skyrim Tweaks guide and the [Memory, Loading & Multithreading Variables] section of Tweakguides.com\Oblivion

I suspect it is because some people say it helps and others say it does not. That would make it controversial.

I (vaguely) remember a user reporting that he was right at the plugin cap and didn't have the issue... then when he added a small handful he got the issue every 5-20 mins. I believe merges were involved, but I still want to dive into the scripts thing and see if that may make a difference... I just don't know which mods are script heavy. I also looked at the NSO mod despite only replacing about 12 mods, there were a bunch included that I DON'T want... so sadly I'd say that's not really an option for me.

My scripts on my latest save are 5,590 and my script instances are 84,148... so my scripts actually seem a lot lower, but IDK the average instances for comparison. Scrolling through the list, looks like I have a handful of mods that add only a small handful of script instances (I guess these are scripts in game though 'scripts' technically is something different? I don't know the discrepancy here), 10 or below, and a small portion of heavier mods.

  • AS-LAL (104)
  • AS-New Beginnings (21)
  • Apocalypse (62)
  • Better Vamps (42)
  • Convenient Horses (106)
  • Extensible Follower Framework (711) this is with 7 constant followers... testing all of them to see what issues would occur... couple T-pose issues and a missing head randomly, issue resolves when using only 5
  • ESOImports (21) recent addition.
  • Falskaar (221) Still have yet to start this quest or visit the area...
  • FNIS (11)
  • Forgotten Dungeons (75) I remember once prior listing this it was over 100. Makes me wonder if going through this in resaver is remotely accurate.
  • Forgotten Island (55) Still haven't started this, and honestly thought I uninstalled it.
  • Immersive Patrols II (128)
  • Imperious (14)
  • More Bandit Camps (60)
  • Notice Board (259)
  • OBIS Patrols (50)
  • OBIS (22)
  • Ordinator (124)
  • RDO (16)
  • My Follower Pack (26)
  • SkyDreamMermaids (79)
  • USLEEP (163)
  • Unread Books Glow (103)

And that's about it. I ignored most of the smaller 1-5 stuff. I tried without EFF and used AFT and that didn't make a difference. May remove mermaids and FI, CH and Falskaar and see if that makes a diff. *edit* though I'm not sure how this would impact it considering I can navigate crafting menus only and cause the issue.

I'm starting to very firmly believe there are multiple random triggers to this bug, and mine is specifically involving the crafting system. After removing several of my heavier scripting mods I'm still having issues, and ALWAYS can EASILY force the issue when only navigating my crafting menus.

So I was getting the bug every 10mins or so. Had an active plugin cout of 253. Through some mergeing, but mostly just unchecking esp I lowered my count to 185. I still get the bug, AND I have the ini tweak installed.

Well thats why im saying its not plugins. I have 235 plugins i used to have 250 or just below, now i get the bug if i play for few hours.

Yeah. Now I'm leaning that way. But I removed a fair number of script heavy mods, just switched over to dolimite weather from Vivid, and cut reinstalled my enb along with reverified my game files....sigh....My only other option is to undo all my merges, and then recheck them as well. (I have a fair number of them). But this is becoming a pain.

Some people are resolving this issue (as reported, anyways, if it's reoccurring after that then we wont know until reported again) using these methods, so while it's frustrating for those of us whom these fixes do NOT help, we still can't negate the ideal that it's not helping someone, somewhere.

This leads me to believe there may be many random triggers, ESP count for some, script heaviness for others, merging and INI tweaks for others, and yet still, GUI mods. For me, it seems to be directly tied with mods that alter the crafting systems and add a lot of items to the game, at least from what I can visibly tell, anyways.

But looking at everything, if you get the bug in a couple hours, you're doing pretty good lol.

Yeah, My current test to see if "I'm gett ing the bug" is starting a new game, and running all my little configeration menus (books/spells) and then doing the "camping in the woods" alternate start, running to Helgan, then console fast travel to Riverwood to pick up a few quests, then console fast travel to Whiterun. By the time I get the quest to go to pick up the dragonstone...my saves are "corrupted"
